Because the state of human courtship is that the man must interest the woman, is it not so? Women don't need pick up, because guys come flocking to them, without them having to do much. Incidentally, saying "PUAs are stupid hoes who think they can woo everyone," is like saying "Black people are violent criminals." There's a vast array of PUA, and while some of it revolves around simply getting laid, a lot of it is just about self-improvement, satisfying women, personal responsibility, ambition, maintaining proper relationships, etc, etc.

PUA is bullshit for me. What is not, however, are handsome as fuck, tall and dark guys wandering around and serially fucking girls with some extreme success. That means not only getting laid every time going out, but getting laid by being picky and fucking like every 3rd girl that such guy approaches. It's funny how majority of girls act the same when guy is hot enough. Of course women will call these guys "dicks" of whatever, yet they fuck them. Keep this in mind when dating, as it's highly likely that if a girl had a one night stand (and most girls do have it at some point), she was banged by some of these serial fuckers.

I think it’s this writer who has some issues though. Typically speaking, I hear most women on this site saying the opposite of what he wrote here. And in truth, I disagree with advice to not be yourself. Ultimately you won’t get anywhere better faking things. We are who we are and the sooner we embrace that the sooner we can play our strengths and downplay our weaknesses. It’s a slow journey but more than anything what really matters is who lives in your community and whether or not they are dramatically different from you, whether or not you like or hate the culture around you.

Southern California, for instance, is extremely unforgiving for those people who don’t get with the LA attitude. But Northern Californian’s hate LA culture.

I’m sure Portlanders wouldn’t get along with Californians. And New York peeps have their own thing going, as do Chicago peeps, as do name a suburb here peeps do.

And so I think it’s very important to live in an area that is similar to who you are and what you value. It changes the whole game before it even begins.

And in general, while it’s a concept that is mostly irrelevant to women because culturally men are expected to initiate everything, and it’s very rare that women never get approached it’s the guys that go out looking for answers and tips.

I’m sure if the culture were swapped like it is on, say, Bumble where women had to initiate everything there’d be female pick up arts walking all over the place giving advice on how to talk to boys. And you know what, most women on Bumble are bad at initiating!

They don’t know what to say and don’t say anything and the match expires, or they send over an over eager one liner just like an over eager boy would send to a girl on Tinder.

So I think it’s just silly to dismiss ideas designed to help guys do their best and give honest efforts at improving their sexual lives. Anything has got to be better than nothing, and I think it is. Truly, I do. There’s a lot of stupid shit in the community, but there’s also some really good stuff out there that makes a difference in people’s lives, especially for those with social anxiety and severe nervousness and whatever else.

I think if you actually looked into PUA, you might think differently. As it stands, you have a preconceived notion that you're attacking, no? Are you very informed about PUA?

PUA was admittedly dirty and grotesque in the 90s, when it started popping up. A lot of it are also scams for desperate dudes. But there is a portion of PUA that is dedicated to proper relationships between men and women, and accruing maximum personal value.

@ChurchOfIron It’s mostly about helping guys overcome social anxieties and get comfortable talking to women in real life. But then going further by analyzing how to do better in the future by looking st past mistakes, and importantly identifying and discovering what is a mistake and what is not. Pick up artists founded the red pill movement— and the originals were mostly ‘nice guys’ transformed who then preached to other ‘nice guys’ in order to share knowledge.

For guys already good with women the whole thing looked stupid. But for a lot of ordinary guys out there the movement has helped improve the lives of those who commit to improving their success with women in general.
