I'm not the "dating kinds" so... I guess there's a reason why
I would blame the majority of people dating for repressing themselves in order to avoid alienating potential partners with something contentious or off-color. For example, all the faux positivity is nauseating, where any pessimistic thought expressed, even for so much as amusement, is dismissed as a "red flag."
Yeah dating is boring as hell and irritating.
