Three Things About Dating Which Annoy Me

The world of dating. Haven't entered it yet, not planning on entering it anytime soon, but when you're on G@G the topic of "dating" is kinda hard to avoid. And with my time on G@G I've read things about dating which gets me like:

Just take this MyTake, as an outsiders perspective of dating that's like watching whilst waiting for the bus or something😂I don't know, this is my opinion- I haven't really "experienced" dating, but I've seen some things in the dating world which I disagree with so let's get into that!

#1 - The Fact That Who Pays For The Date Is Such A Big Drama

Oh my- one drama I always see repeating itself on here is...

Just split the bill!

I'm sorry not sorry but I don't believe in the whole: "dudes should pay for dates" thing because personally, if a dude always paid for me- it'd feel like I'm a kid with a parent ordering a happy meal.

If I can pay for my food when I'm out with my friends, I can pay for my food when I'm on a date.

I don't mind if he pays it all like let's say I'm dating a dude, and we decide to go out for my birthday, for some bizarre reason- then yes, because it's a treat, and if he wanted I'd pay it all on his birthday.

But not just for like regular dates or whatever.

The only person I'd expect not to pay for their meals, is a child because they don't even understand or have any money- let alone pay for their food😂😂

#2 - Going Somewhere That Requires Money

Top ten questions my broke ass can't answer😂

You know what? If paying the bill is gonna be such a big dilemma for you, then just go somewhere for free! Stay at home! I don't know!😂😂

Seriously though, why do people always have to go somewhere for "a date" that requires money?

Why don't you just save your money and like go on a walk with the person you're dating? Or head somewhere free?

Call me tight, but I ain't got money to be wasting. Fair enough, if you have the money spend it, go for it, but if you're broke like me, there's plenty of other places you could go. Even just one person go to the other person's house or something.

I'm pretty sure, it's not about where you go, it's about the person you're with- so as long as you're with them that's all that matters, right?

#3 - Girls Are Expected To Beat Their Face With Makeup

"beat your face with makeup" - means applying loads of makeup to look good.

Personally, I don't really care about my face too much. Like yeah, I don't want spots because they don't look great and they hurt too but at the same time, if I get the odd pimple or a few pimples, I'm not gonna freak out and layer on the foundation or whatever. If They're there, they're there. It isn't the end of the world. I'm not exactly a model in the first place. I'm not the only person in the world that gets them. They'll go away eventually, and if they hurt- it's nothing compared to period pain.

And if I was to go on a date with someone my attitude wouldn't change. If I have a pimple, or several, I have it/them. No big deal. If a dude really doesn't wanna date me because I showed up with a few visible pimples, then he's stupid.

Because I'm not something out of a fairytale I'm a human being, and all human beings at some point in their lives get pimples.

He's clearly living in a dream world if he thinks otherwise.

Don't get me wrong I have other things which annoy me about dating too, but three is a nice number so why not just settle for the first three which come to my head?

And this is suiting consider Valentines day is coming up.

As of dates well for the beginning it was a split , but now its an alternate take , if i decide the place the other pays same with the other way round , so it keeps a check on deciding the place carefully , and you are right its presence what you aim for , you could have a walk in the park instead but you dont find many who agree to that *sigh*

I don't think guys care about a girl's makeup nearly as much as it is perceived that they do. In fact, they're always saying wear less, but then girls get pissed when they say that because "guys don't know what they're talking about/it's my face". The whole thing of who should pay for the date is a bit complicated because there's a few ways it can be interpreted and nobody knows what their partner thinks of it.

Some think that a man should be a wealthy provider in love, and thus paying the bill shows he is willing to invest. To someone who thinks this, paying the bill is romantic, splitting the bill shows disinterest, and if the woman pays then she doesn't see him as a partner.

Some think that it doesn't matter, and the decision should be based on something else like who asked whom out, who has more money, splitting the bill, or not splitting and alternating who treats whom.

On the makeup topic, to be honest, makeup looks smoother to me but gives mixed messages. Which usually means I ignore visual cues coming from the face. I think both normal face and made-up face look nice in different ways, yo.

2. We need to act like their ideal ones. We need to act according to them. I have ever seen a couple that was so much frank with each other. That makes the difference between girlfriend and friend.

My favorite dates with my SO are the ones to the local parks and laying in bed watching a movie aka FREE and I love to cook so we don't really worry about going out unless I don't want to cook.
We alternate the bill per date that way we both share the cost. If he's buying dinner and we are going to the movies after I'll pay for the movies.
I don't cake on makeup, but I do want to look good so I put on as little as I can because I have sensitive skin.

One time this dude from college asked if we could go to the cinema - at the time I didn't think it was a date but I now realise he definitely did - and he was offering to pay for me, but I was gonna bring my own money anyway. You can see a lot of women say "he should pay first and I'll pay for the next one" in an attempt to get the guy to pay, as if it's somehow completely fair and justified.

I stopped going on dates because I was very adamant about paying for my own ticket, meal, whatever. But guys always got into arguments with me saying they should pay for me. (Key words here...”pay for me”. The reason I say this is because every single time I let a guy purchase ANYTHING for me, whether it be $10 for my meal or $2 for a drink, not even 30 minutes after doing so, they start trying to pressure me into sleeping with them. As i said the job is not the problem. Being satisfied with that job is the problem. That is a personality quality. I've had shitty jobs in the past. I did a great job and advanced immediately or got hired off elsewhere. Thats because i am a go getter. I set goals and then work to achieve them. A person who is satisfied with a shitty job obviously does not share that personality quality. They obviously are not go getter types. If you dont like ambitious men, you can find many of them in dead end jobs. You wouldn't find many go getters because they would not work as a burger flipper for more than 6 months because they would already step up to a better job... as thats what all ambitious people would do in that situation.

So like I've said a lot. If you think men who work in jobs like that are suitable to date then you obviously do not find ambition important. Thats fine. It is what it is. I just found it surprising since thats a top quality most women seem to go for. Obviously you are different.

Well how do I know he isn't satifised with it for a certain period of time? Then he wants to move on to something better, but can't for whatever reason? Like I have a few friends, who work at McDonalds and places like McDonalds because they're students like me- they only plan to work at McDonalds for the time being and currently they're happy with that. That doesn't make them unambitious.

And if a dude wants to work in McDonalds for the rest of his life, the question is "why?" and you can't just give a generic answer. The truth is, unless you know the individual, you don't know. And you shouldn't judge people, until you get to know them.

The point I'm trying to make is I don't care what the guy works as, as long as it aligns with my morals. I don't care if he could be a doctor, actor, lawyer or McDonalds worker- it's his qualities as a human being I will look at. And a job doesn't always define a person's qualities. You need to get to know a person, hear their story and then make an opinion on them, based on that.

Ambition is a quality I would take into consideration, I don't want somebody who gets with me to be a lazy bum, but just because somebody is a McDonalds worker- doesn't mean they will be that. Not everybody fits the stereotype.

And just because I don't call myself a "queen" and don't expect whoever I get with to call himself a "king" doesn't mean either of us won't be ambitious. It just means we won't go around calling ourselves pointless meaningless titles, when we're just regular human beings.

Well im not just a regular generic human being. I find that sad and i want to be the best. I want to be successful at anything i do. Thats why i say im a king who wants a queen who wants to be excellent too and not some average schlub.

But like i said over and over, its literally impossible for someone like me to ever be in a job like that and satisfied because they would move up and on. From my experience only losers are satisfied with dead end jobs like that. And college is an excuse. I started my own business in college instead of working a lame job. Obviously we measure ambition completely different.

Dont you want a man you can stand in front of the world and say he's amazing? Or do you want your man to be joe. No last name. Joe. He could be anyone. Everyone would forget him or confuse him with someone else. he's just like any average man you find on the street. Thats fine if you want that but i mean you are in a category that is not typical if thats what you're seeking.

And yeah this is one trait. Would you also argue that obese people can be into healthy lifestyles? 😂 if they were they wouldn't be obese.

Can a moral man be doing drugs and doing all sorts of shady behavior? Nope. A moral person is not going to surround themselves with shady shit.

Technically anyone can display a state different than they are but not for long. A moral person would drift from criminal friends and druggies. An obese person who lived healthy would lose weight. An ambitious person would not continually work as a burger flipper because they would get other job offers.

Please lets hear all the excuses of how the best place to snag an ambitious man is at the drive up window. Or an athletic man at pizza hut. Or a moral man in a club at 3am. Lmao

Other kids I know do different things to you, sure, they're not starting businesses, some are working learning a trade so who knows what skills they'll do with that in the future? And you're an American. College for us in Britain is the equivalent to juniour and senior year of High School in America.

I guess, you think ambition is objective and I believe it's subjective. I'm not making excuses, moreover, stating that not everyone has the same road to success. AOC is a congresswoman she started off as a bartender. Now whatever you think of her politics, let's ignore that for a second, and let's just see how she started. Just a few years ago, she was a bartender- and you would have looked at her as unambitious because of her job, but now look at her. Whether they love her or hate her, people all around the world know her name. You who say you're an "ambitious king" nobody knows your name. To me you're just some guy on G@G.

For a period of time, they may have to work as a burger flipper, just like AOC worked as a bartender- until she worked for a better job. The point is, I'd support them whilst they're working as a burger flipper, not dump them for being "unambitious" and "not a king" then the minute they succeed go crawling back to them. Sometimes, things take time.

Like anyone my age, right now, a burger flipping job is a job most likely they'd get considering we're not really qualified to be anything else.
