Miss Yamin: So guys we will read an interesting poetic piece by William Wordsworth, turn to page number um 136. So let me ask you guys, Before starting this poem answer me what love means to you? And who is the person you love the most? Starting with you Austin.
Austin: Ma'am, love is a very strong emotion which you simply can't describe in words, it's not only about happiness. It's something which makes you attracted to a person no matter how toxic your relation with them is, because you don't have the strength to leave them. Life feels way more toxic when they leave. The person I love the most....
Allysa's breath hitched at this moment, the way he beautifully described love made her fall for him harder. She has this urge to grab his collar and stare at his indescribable orbs. Austin paused for a moment, looked at Allysa and motioned his eyebrows in such a way as if he was telling she is the answer.
Austin: ...is my mother.
The whole class clapped at his answer. Stetson, class clown and mutual friend of Austin commented on this.
Stetson: That means if his girlfriend will break up with him he will become a psychopath and try to get her back lol.
Austin: Yes I will haha
The class broke out in laughter hearing this.
Yamin ma'am: Enough kids, so what's your answer Allysa? I am eager to hear your poetic words (Allysa wrote poems and wanted to be a writer)
Allysa: Ma'am, love..is something which is of various types, it changes from person to person. The love for father is different and love for potential partner is different. The love for Mother is different and love for your best friend is different. However it all shows one result only, that you're ready to show them your weakest side because you know they will kiss away your flaws. My father always said one thing, if you are personally damaged by the person you love then it's not love, it's obsession. And I don't have any answer to your second question ma'am, however my first love is my dad and second love is my brother, I mean cousin.
The class started clapping harder in this statement. This somehow seemed so perfect.
Allysa: You should love a person enough to let them go, that's a complete true love. You should be happy in their happiness.
Added Allysa. Miss Yamin was truly left speechless and of course anyone would remain speechless. How can you expect such unknown yet rejuvenating answer by a mere 14 year girl who have barely seen life? She assumed how mature Allysa is and that's the reason why she is one of the students Miss Yamin adores the most. Writers and readers certainly have a different perspective of life, they see the things differently than how a common person does. She didn't have any courage to reply such strong words from a young girl with a strong yet soothing voice. If there was a living form of Rose then it must be Allysa, strong and beautiful. If there was a living form of soil then it must be Austin, he won't let you go once you caught him. Now, rose can't survive without soil and soil will loose it's softness and become rough if left barren without rose. Such was the combination of Allysa and Austin.

Finally able to read this chapter. So eloquent are both Allysa and Austin. I loved the transition into the English class and how the teacher got them to speak. Also, loved Austin's eyebrows to Allyssa. I say this half seriously, we needed some snark from Stacy and Nikki in this... :)
I thought about giving the main leads their own moments without being interrupted by the friends. There would be nothing romantic about this book if there is no such moments at all and it's supposed to be a teenage rom-com so yeah I didn't include Stacy and Nikita here. But that's a great idea, you will surely read such incidents in upcoming chapters!

Yes, I wrote this chapter so that readers would understand how the main leads define love in their own way. This is important chapter too.
