Would you rather be called a whore? Nothing wrong with the word Cougar. I'm a proud sexy cougar ✌️
I'd rather be called neither
You are an empty egg carton, let him find a younger woman.
I actually still ovulate regularly/have periods regularly. I also have kept myself in great physical shape.
In fact, when I talked to my doctor about it she told me I'm very capable of getting pregnant right now so I should still take birth control if I don't want to get pregnant now.
However, if and when we get engaged we've decided that I'm going to get off birth control and we're going to try to have kids.
And if for whatever reason the old fashion way doesn't work out he's told me he's completely fine with adopting

@D_Bone_Steak My doctor and the fact I keep ovulating would disagree
I'm sorry, but older men have been shamed and maligned for dating younger women for ages, and they still are. Until that negative stigma gets addressed, I have zero sympathy.
People who make this retort are often thinking about Leonardo Dicaprio men who are in their late 40s and early 50s trying to date women in their late teens and early 20s. That's not an apples to apples comparison to what I'm talking about. There's a big difference between that and someone in their early 40s dating someone else in their late 20s.
If a man in his early 40s was dating a woman in her late 20s he would not be getting nearly the flack that a woman in her early 40s dating a man in his late 20s (like me) would be getting
Not true. Men your age who date women the age of your boyfriend are scorned by society far more than when the genders are reversed.
I don't think that's true. Most people would think that a 40 year old man dating a 27 year old woman would be pretty OK.
I certainly don't think they'd be scorned more than a 40 year old woman dating a 27 year old man. The fact that there's no male equivalent for 'cougar' is super telling in that regard (and men getting called 'preditors' or 'rocking the craddle' isn't unique to them, because we get accused of that too)
What planet do you live on? Here on Earth, older men who date younger women are looked at as selfish bastards.
There absolutely is male equivalent to the term "cougar". It's called "sexual predator".
Don't worry about what other people say. You know your relationship and he knows how special it is too. Your real friends will get it.
You are both adults, While I do agree with some of the most brutal comments here I do have some sympathy for what you are going through.
If you’re happy who cares. Don’t let a word bother you.
It may be kind of insulting but it is still somehow weird and not very natural. Love is love but values are values
No. You're a cougar. You made the choice. Deal with it.
No, I'm not. I'm not being predatory, I'm not going through a midlife crisis, our relationship isn't just some meaningless fling, and I wasn't even the one who pursed him in the first place.
So no, I'm not a cougar
What do u think about men dating an 18-20 year old for a meaningful relationship?
That depends. I think that if they're in their late 20s (maybe even early 30s) it could be a major age difference that could still work out
However, if they're any older than that it's a real problem
And I know some people are going to say 'you're a hypocrite' but I'm really not. There's a big differnce between dating a younger guy (or girl) whose already pretty established, has a decent amount of life experience, is pretty mature etc. as opposed to one that is still very young immature, inexperienced, and not well established.
If a 40 (or even 50) year old man was dating a woman in her late (maybe even mid) 20s I don't think that's a problem. But if he's dating a woman in her late teens or early 20s I think that is a huge problem
Why a huge problem?
When I was 18... I went out with a 48 yr old woman for twelve years till she passed. Everything was fine except I was childless then. Soon after I found an 18 yr old to marry and have children with. 9 years later today she's still here and our newest feature is a 9/11 baby girl 3 months old. Both relations have been none other than meaningfully and exiting for the both together. So it can always work regardless of adult ages together.
I don’t believe younger men. They all want $$$.
He actually refuses to take my money when I offer it (and when I've thought he really needs it)
Also, while he's in grad school now, when he graduates he'll have a masters in computer science. Consequently, even though I make a lot more than him now, there's a good chance he'll be making more than me down the road
I dated an older man with a similar age gap and he was influenced by other people's opinion of our relationship.
How so?
And what were those opinions?
He just told me all of his friends suddenly protested it. He came back to me but I felt deeply sad that he could break up with me so long over it
I don't think it's wrong as long as you two are happy.
I’m messing with with a woman who’s 8 years younger then me.
It’s a lot of fun. She lot of fun.
Well, that's kind of part of why I really don't like the term. It implies that women with younger men just want to 'mess around'. It implies that we're not in a serious relationship with serious commitment.
If someone called someone I was dating a “cougar”, I would just date her even harder.
I have to ask how’s the sex?
It's pretty fantastic. We both have highly compatible libidos, and are highly attracted to each other. We're also both in pretty great physical shape (I've got to say that he looks incredible naked. haha).
Also, he's able to get more hard, last longer, and recover quicker, so in that way the age gap has definetly been a positive.
That’s perfect I actually think for sexual compatibility older women should date younger men for that reason. I’m 42 and horny af all the time lol 🤣 my husband and I both in great shape so the sex is still very hot but yea I have friends my age and their hubbys either they have trouble getting hard or don’t last as long or have no drive. I think it’s smart to go for younger men
you are right.
How do you stop it? Censorship.
Wayvtoo many to my a many wordsd
Nice!
