It's funny how women are up voting the answers that say men should pay and down voting the ones who say it should be equal. Women don't want equality in relationships. They want to be treated better than they treat the other person

I've worked cashier at food service and it is so such a shaking my head moment when the woman has to pay for her boyfriends meal.
And after listening to my scenario, people will even tell me it isn't my fault, but "not my fault" does't help me.
Same thing as asking a girl out, you can only ask so many girls, you can only put in so many job apps too.
Girls don't date unemployed guys, and employers don't hire 34 year olds who've had extended unemployment, even if they are twice as qualified as the next guy in the pile.
I can discuss my problems, I've been to hell and back in my life, and been back again really, and one thing I've learned, which I already knew anyway, is most bad things that happen to people are completely out of their control... yet that doesn't change the fact that friends forsake unemployed people, and women don't date unemployed men... not even wealthy "one in a million" women with 2 Ph. D. s Believe me, I've tried. It doesn't work.
Hate to be cynical, because that's not my core nature, but being rejected on both ends perpetually wil eventually wreck a person no matter what.
I don't even remember what the hell it is like to get a paycheck. I type 65 wpm, can use all software, entry level programming and webpage coding, quality assurance experience, financial experience, tech support experience, math to calculus 2 level and statistics, 134 I. Q. 155 Clerical Aptitude (4 std deviations above normal). Extremely widely read person: Bible commentaries, science articles, novels, journals, magazines, news, etc.
Can't get a person to hire me to so much as flip burgers or sell insurance, much less some other "real" job.
I'm currently enrolled with workforce rehabilitation and returning to college, but they don't help you find a job in the short term, and their computer job search I've tried countless times. I've done monster, and job. com, etc. and those are all dead-end jobs mostly, or the goods they want a degree (I've found out I know more than people with degrees in most cases), so I'm back to school.
Fair enough. When I was dating my bf, he'd pay when we went out, but I'd always turn around and buy groceries to cook for him when we stayed in. I love cooking for people.

If men weren't unemployed for half their adult lives because employers refuse to hire them, they wouldn't have that problem.
And after listening to my scenario, people will even tell me it isn't my fault, but "not my fault" does't help me.

I've been "Unemployed" for ten years now.

How about the person asking out just pays, or if he can't afford it then both pays their own shit. Problem solved.
@Giavelto
This take reminds me of an old internet meme - "Love is trash, girls need cash!"
Eh I wouldn't be quite so cynical, but the key is for both people to have realistic expectations of one another I think.
I don't get the dowbnvotes! I never said I a'agree' with this meme. I just rembered iit, and posted it as humor.
I suppose
I suppose I should have mentioned that it is not necessarily my opinion. My bad.
So are you alright with going Dutch at first?
Exactly.

Agreed. Dates should be a shared thing.
#5 should be on a t-shirt. Hilarious.
