Depends. If people stop their fucking lives and just focus on the other person, it will make them grow fonder of each other. However if they lead a normal life (work/hang out/go out) chances are they are gonna become more distant. Because nobody actually fucking needs a certain other person. There are billions of people and stuff that can make you happy. And the moment you get a taste of it, it changes the way you see things. When you feel that you can be happy without the other person, you no longer have a need for them

I used to live in a city far away from my girlfriend (like a 6h drive). The more I didn't see her, the more I wanted to be with her. Skype ain't good for this things, it helps, but you miss them even more.
Then answer? Yes. Everytime we see each other we can't let go basically hahaha and sometimes we even cry on Skype lol

It depends on the scenario - forced distance where they have left and anticipate coming back it just generates the separation feeling for me. I don't pine or want for them, they have chosen to leave so I'll move on.
If we're seperated by circumstances beyond our control like work or family emergencies then it's definitely fondness because I can't wait to come back

Bothhhhhhhhhh totes depends on what kind of separation and how long you've been together and how long you'll be apart. But if you love someone it's always worth a shot. It's 2016, communication is so much easier now than it was 10 years ago

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, but there are limits. There is an expectation of eventual fulfillment. Without that it just causes growing frustration which can put a strain on the relationship and cause cracks to appear.

there's this girl i see every Sunday at this restaurant i go to, and we both are attracted to each other. There's a month where i didn't see her, and all i could do is think about her. When i saw her, she was like why haven't you come in for a while? I told her i was busy.

Not seeing her today and knowing I won't see her until next week is upsetting too.

I'd say that distance up to a certain time causes heart to fo fonder (and I believe that Skinner proved this with his conditioning experiments).

But after that certain time has passed feelings start to disappear.
