So I found a girl that ghosted me at the gym. What would you have done?

Like 3 months ago I got her number and we talked for a bit. We were going to go on a date but she chickend out. She apologized and we talked some more.

Last time I saw her we made out in her car and talked about it that same day. After that she never wrote back to anything.

So yesterday I saw her at the gym walking on the treadmill so I stood on the one next to her and tapped her shoulder. Her eyes opened wider than I ever seen her and she quickly took a gulp of water not knowing what to do. All I asked her was "Was it me and something I did? Or was it you? Don't worry you'll never hear from me again."

She studders and said "I I I just wanted to be alone" that's all I needed and I walked away.

What would you have done if someone lead you on about liking you back then ghosting you out of nowhere, then bumping into her again?

Generally wouldn't do that type of confrontation. I just keep up the easy-going kind of, "Oh hey! How are you doing?" kind of friendly vibe.

It's because if someone ghosts you, it's a horrible thing to do to a person but naturally it's the result of feeling awkward and not knowing what to say in order to reject you. If you confront them later about it in any way, it tends to lead only to further conflict.

If you use a friendly approach, it might help them better open up and maybe also avoid seeing you as someone to run away from.

I felt like I was respectful the whole time with her. So her doing that to me really bothered me. I'm glad it got awkward. I felt she deserved it. It'll teach her not to do that to other people.

I had almost exactly that experience, because I knew where she worked and it was in the same complex as the gym itself. I just ignored her like when I had passed her on the street (she lived half a block away from me too).

I wouldn't have even bothered approaching them. I might have smiled and waved at them, but I never would have gave indication that them ghosting me bothered me. Too much pride.
