Why are Virgo girls so confusing... Why do they push-pull so much?

I've always thought this Virgo girl was beautiful. At first I didn't see her as more than a hookup but then she chased me and got me hooked. She was so affectionate and loving at first. Then when I did some of the chasing she pulled back and went completely cold. I wasn't up for games so I stopped talking to her. Then she started chasing me again and once again I got hooked but this time for good. Ever since we've hooked up many times. I'm head over heals for her. To me she's the most beautiful girl I've ever met. She's really smart and the funny stuff she says and does sometimes is really cute. When I compliment her she seems to get angry and bothered. When I genuinely show her affection and that I care for her it angers her. She'll literally, physically push me away from her. Yet she seems to fish for compliments at times. We had a big misunderstanding and she told me that she didn't think she wanted to see me anymore. I pleaded with her over texts but then she stopped responding. Going NC was the hardest thing I've ever done. For weeks I was miserable and then out of nowhere she texted me. Our conversation was great and it seemed like her interest levels were at 100% again. I've never told her that I love her because it seems like she just likes too hook up and nothing more and I'm pretty sure that she can tell but whenever I start to show my feelings for her, that's when she pulls away and starts acting really cold towards me. Why are they like that?
