Tune into weekly segments of Dateline, 20/20 or 48 Hours, and you'll quickly discover that an overwhelming number of crimes committed daily are enacted by people without criminal records.
From highly orchestrated ponzi schemes to deceitful dual marriages, ID channel even created a revealing docu-series, Who The Bleep Did I Marry?, where the victims of revolting reversals of character could share their life-shattering tales. If there's one thing all of these shows teach us, it's that while you can judge a book by its cover, you may be mistaken about the story you'll find inside.
Ask yourself several questions before you decide for or against it.
What type of crime did he commit? White collar crime should be considered just as seriously as violent crimes since they're often committed against a person's own friends and business associates.
How old was he when he committed the crime? We know that a young person's brain is still forming, leaving them extremely vulnerable to outside influences and environment. This is no excuse, but guidance, education and personal will can recycle a tumultuous start into a successful future.
What drove him to commit the crime, and how has his perspective changed? The bottom line is whether the person you're interested in has detected the glitches in his modus operandi and rewritten his rules of engagement.
Is he willing to discuss what he did and what he's learned? The man who's recycled his past by integrating the experience will expect you to ask. He'll also be happy to share knowing that it will give you a greater sense of who he is. Dating can be daunting these days.
This applies for any gender, male, female, and intersex

First of all, if i were to even consider this person, there would be no 'unknown reasons' that they were a convicted felon. I would need to know everything. Crime, sentence, any restitution $$$ owed, on parole? Probation? Also, who is claiming this person is reformed? Doubt i could do it, too many things can go wrong.
Firstly, I'd have to know the reasons but I wouldn't date them. I want to travel the world and I can't do that with a felon unless their record has been expunged. They'd have to be my soulmate or something for me to give up travel to be with them
Depends on what they have done. They get harsher convictions of economic frauds than manslaughter where I live, so I might.
I don't do unknown, I want to know WHY, then I'll consider it.

No, it would show he was fool enough to get caught lol
Besides, people get convicted for serious crimes. So he must have committed a serious offence if he spent time in prison. I'd never know if he had truly reformed or been rehabilitatedThere are a lot of crimes that are felonies. A bounced check that is a large enough denomination is a felony.
So, yes I would, for some felonies. and no for others.Depends entirely on what happened. I'm probably not dating the woman who is on parole for killing her last boyfriend.
Depends on what they did. If they wanted the reasons to remain unknown, it would be a definite no.
So long as they are relatively mentally stable it doesn't really matter much what they did. Who they are is what matters
all girls said no lol, give me a break i know lots of guys with records who dont have a problem getting a girlfriend, some are even married with kids, so cut the crap ladies and lets be real.
most of us had at some point. especially single mothers.
Yea I would, but that's because I know many people like this very well and they're all actually amazing. Not sure what would my answer be if I didn't know anyone like this.
Depends what he did. If he is not telling I won't date him. Murder, Rape or Assault are a no go.
It depends on why he was in prison I mean if it is for murder I clearly wouldn't
If it was for, like, tax evasion nobody would give a shit, don't think anyone would date a convicted paedophile though
Depends what the crime was. Violence or drug distribution? Hell no. Ponzi scheme? Maybe.
Depends on what it is. Maybe they were a naive 17 y. o. who got talked into being a coke mule.
nope. dont care what they've done and dont wanna know. a felon is a felon
Don't want to risk my life thanks
Girls love bad boys, and felons are the baddest.
Yes we all make mistakes

Depends on the crime committed
