- If I have liberal friends "how can you be friends with libtards?" Even though my liberal friends are not feminist or sjws and my girlfriend thinks all liberals are feminist-sjws without any naunce.
- Our neighbor's gardener got deported for being an illegal. All I said was "oh wow, I feel bad for him, he seemed like a nice guy" and my girlfriend goes on a rant "oh what are you saying illegals should be in this country illegally? Facts before feelings, legal or get out" even though I never said people should be in this country illegally, America has every right to enforce their immigration laws, yes he should be deported but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to feel bad for him and his situation.
- I watch both cnn and fox news, I wanna see what all sides are saying but if I watch CNN she will get mad but acts like fox news is never bias when in reality they both have biases.

- We bought a stand up ticket to see Bill Burr comedy, who is Anti-PC, he makes fun of feminist, liberals, sjws, etc. For the first 40 minutes she was enjoying her self, when Bill Burr started making fun of Hillary Clinton she was laughing, but then when Bill Started making fun of Trump she got annoyed and suddenly said she didn't like the show anymore.
How do you deal with someone obsessed with politics? We have many good moments, but when it turns political it's frustrating. The only time she chills is when I'm really mad and start yelling at her to shut up and chill out.

I'm actually not sure if "obsessed with politics" is the right term here. When you said this in your title, I was expecting something like "my girlfriend only reads political science books, she loves to discuss the issues so much I can barely stop her. In the morning she needs two hours for herself to go through all the important news of the day." That is what I would call "obsessed with politics". Your girlfriend isn't actually interested to know the details, nor does she seem capable to think critically and in a differentiated way. She just sounds like a constantly angry/aggressive person who wants to rant all the time and throw around empty, partisan talking points. You on the other hand are a normal person who has his opinions and values but you're not a dumb, partisan hack. You don't hate that gardener simply for being illegal because you're smart enough to view him as a fellow human being, as a guy who might be living illegally in the US but is a kind and likable person nonetheless.
If you ask me, I really don't think you should be together with this girl. And when I say that, you should know that I don't say that lightly. I hardly ever give this advice on here but in your case I truly feel like this is a toxic environment. With all due respect, your girlfriend sounds a genuinely dumb person.
politics can often be a relationship deal breaker. if two people have varying beliefs or even varied interest levels it can be difficult to coexist. i think sadly unless she is willing to just back off this seems like a difficult thing to overcome. she is politicizing every aspect of life and unfortunately it seems hard for people who do that to stop doing that.
it is a all too sad thing in life. too many (especially prevalent on this site) seem unable to see a world beyond politics.
Same a friend of mine got obsessed with politics got caught up with the socialism/communism thinking everything is right wing propaganda which really these people that are so obsessed with these extreme ideals should find something else to do then getting involve in politics it's very toxic and constructive when one is filled with guilt and hate that doesn't matter what side of the political view you are in right or left if your filled with guilt and hate you should get out if social media and politics
You should debate her on this, because you're on the right. The NY Times had written a positive article about Ben Shapiro, and Debra Messing said she canceled her subscription because of it. What your girlfriend is saying is basically the same - I will only listen to whatever reaffirm my current opinions. Not only thing is bad, is a characteristic of the left, and it's pretty much the source of everything that's wrong with the left.
I would say that you should probably consider your relationship. That said the best medicine to get her to stop is probably to cut off the news and just live from day to day without all that drama. This might mean you have to go on a vacation to someplace where this is easier such as going off grid.
She sounds immature to be honest.. She can criticize others but can't handle any kind of criticism towards her own beliefs whether it's joking or not. I couldn't be around someone so rigid.
