Would a guy be disappointed if you don’t kiss him on the first date?

Had a first date with a guy and we didn’t kiss at the end.

He hugged me twice, and I think he was hoping for a kiss. But I’m a little shy, plus the moment just wasn’t right.

I just hope he doesn’t think I like him. by the way, he did ask me out for a second date.

Let him kiss you for the second date; otherwise, he might think you don't like him or aren't romantic and that could end the relationship. That happened to me--the girl ghosted me after the second goodbye was kissless.

Make sure you're standing close to each other at the end of the date. Lean in and make eye contact, to show him you're open to a kiss.

Better yet, initiate it. Kiss him when you feel like it. I know your'e shy, but after the first date, I think the girl is considered free to just kiss whenever she wants, and set the tone and speed that she wants.

I had a similar experience. Went on a date with a guy who tried to kiss me and I wasn’t ready and kind of backed away. I tried to tell him I was interested and meet up again but he never texted me again. It made me feel so bad cause I was attracted to him.

Fast forward, I met another guy who I liked and didn’t try to kiss me on the first date. He could tell I was shy so we just hugged. I liked him so it kind of just happened on our second date.

If he rejects/gives up just because you didn’t kiss him on the first date, he’s not worth it. Everyone’s different with intimacy and you shouldn’t feel bad just because you didn’t kiss him.

If he's a decent guy he gets going slow would be better for both of you. There's no need to rush into anything physical. So don't listen to anyone saying a kiss on the cheek would've got the message to him, those people can't understand other forms of communication. He asked you out again he gets you like him. For me it's never happened, nor do I "expect it" to. But it would be nice if it did. But only if she wanted to and really liked me. Hugs are good! And if the date went well otherwise, I wouldn't think anything of it. But if you're worried about it, just ask him for a second date, that would show you like him still.

Did you enjoy the date?
Kissing isn't mandatory. If you aren't comfortable with it, there's no reason to do it.
There is no such obligation.
As for the guy, just let him know you had a great time and would love to go out on a second date (if you liked the first date, that is).
This would end his disappointment.

If he's upset you didn't kiss, probably a red flag that he's not a nice guy haha. You could just flat out tell him you would like to kiss him sometimes as your interested but the end of the date just wasn't the right moment.

Kissing doesn't have to be unspoken, when you're comfortable you could let him know you want a kiss.
