I've said this in another post, but I'll mention here again: Being gay or straight is based on attraction. You don't actually have to have sex, kiss, or even hold hands to be attracted. You can be gay or straight by just seeing someone and feeling an attraction. Using that information I have to lean toward it's not gay to be a guy who is with a transwoman if she is to your senses a woman. Also want to point out that if you believe being with a trans girl makes a guy gay or bi, all it takes is for one trans girl to fool you and cause you to be attracted, for the rest of your life, by your own standards, you are gay or bi. Good luck. They're getting better at enhancements of this nature all the time.

People are attracted to all sorts. Some like women with all the biological parts of women. Some are fine with some mixture of male and female parts. The same would be true about stereotypical male and female behavior. You can say the same about women who're attracted to transexual men. There is a spectrum of exterior sexual looks, behavior. Maybe people who aren't attracted to the biological norm are bisexual or gay or transsexual. What's nice is there's someone for everyone.
I'm transgender and I love going out as female. It would make me feel more comfortable to have the op. But no matter what I do feel down I'm am make. It's like getting a orange and putting a skin of a apple on it. Does it make the orange a apple. No because as soon as you bit into it you see it's not what it says on the tin. It's a shake they cannot infect something into you and like magic you change completely into a woman , Gene home and all. Maybe one day but I don't think in my life time...
transwomen are not women ! I am a woman with a woman's body ! Sex is between a male with a penis and a woman with a vagina ! Which is the way God intended it ! Thanks
He might be. But being gay (for a man) means your primary sexual attraction is to other men. So it would be unlikely he would be attracted to a trans woman, who presumably looks and acts like a woman. So in general, no. Especially if he usually dates "normal" women.
Chicks with dicks has kinky written all over it but it's not gay because there is not feelings between 2 males yes they are both men bit one is either fucked up on designer drugs or something line that it always seems like a purely sexual relationship when you include the dress up game
No. You're still being attracted to a woman's face. Sure she may have or may have had a penis. But who cares? If you like her, you like her and if she had a man's body at a certain point in her life, she's now a woman and that's what matters
People are forgetting something central to this question: gay men don't date trans-women. Period. So how does such dating make a man gay? I think people could afford to get to know some gay men so they can stop making so many assumptions about them.
I have respect for transgenders and one of my best friends is actually transgender. In my opinion it would make you gay because that person was born a male.
Nah. It's a whole other thing. Bi perhaps? Maybe it's a mostly straight dude who is attracted to funbags and other feminine qualities but also fantasizes about hard penis and gets everything rolled into one person.
A dude is a dude regardless of how many barbie dolls he plays with. Make believe and imaginary friends might be fine when you’re 5, but once you become an adult they usually drug you and throw you in a padded room when you do it.
It's not about opinions. It's about science. Straight men don't date pre-op or post-op transwomen. Let's see one of these "straight men" have a child with a post-op transwoman. Also there is no such thing as a sex change, even doctors say this. Hormones and getting your penis cut off doesn't change your sex.
@ronaldo75 sorry, I didn't realize you were that transphobic. Like bro first of all it's girlsaskguys as said 'GirlsAskGuys is your social community where girls and guys can ask questions and share their opinions to help better understand each other then find answers.' It's okay if you don't date Trans women but they are some straight men who do because to them and to the women they're considered a WOMEN and still you're not the one who's allowed to tell transgender people their sex. If they feel like a woman and want to become one let them be.
I'm not transphobic - you calling me transphobic just shows you have no argument. I've had multiple trans friends try to commit suicide because they dont have money for operations. A few even prostituted for it and you know how I helped them? By telling them to get therapy to help them cope with who they are and accepting themselves even though they couldn't afford surgery.
Transphobic? Get the fuck over yourself. 40% of transwomen especially attempt suicide even after post-op because you can get all the surgury you want , between the drugs and cocktail of hormones they take and the fact that they never pass 100% it drives them insane.
@ronaldo75 right basically telling them it's wrong for them to be transgender and how does that get them out of their misery if just being told to not be who they want be.
Let me ask you a question. Have you stayed up all night, on a work night and have had to talk a person who drunk as hell into not cutting their own wrists and scared to death that if you make one quick or false move they will stab you just the same? Well I have, people who feel they are in the "wrong body" are living in HELL and it's a torture i've seen one too many time. So don't sit there and call me a transphobe when you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about.
THese people are SUFFERING and forcing the world to play make believe isn't going to make their lives any easier.
@tyber1 some have had surgery, so it's not a problem. Others still have it so I would say that if a person dates a trans woman because she still has the penis, maybe he's bi. If a person dates a trans woman besides her having a penis (so the person takes the whole package yet doesn't really like that element) he's straight. I guess if he sees the woman as the real woman she is, he's straight, if he sees the woman as a someone with both male and female aspects and likes her for that thought, he might be bi
Trans women are not women, they feel like they're women. I acknowledge their feelings and the distress they cause, but I do not consider someone who was born with unambiguously male sexual organs to be female. They're an anomaly, a deviation from what is biologically natural and healthy. Their brain has developed in a way that more closely resembles a female brain but the majority of their anatomy has male characteristics and lets be honest about what is happening here, the hormones and cosmetic surgeries are meant to defy and cover up reality and we are all expected to go along and pretend that isn't what is happening because their natural state is one that causes significant psychological distress.
Just because someone's reality is unpleasant does not mean that I have to accept a lie as factual to keep them happy. If you raise someone who is left handed as if they were right handed, you might convince people including them but it still doesn't make it true. I'm never gonna pretend someone who is biologically male in almost every way is female, even if it would make it easier for them to cope.
I find it somewhat ironic that the LGBT movement advocates such radically different treatment for their Trans members than the rest of the movement. We are supposed to accept gays as they are (which I do). They are also a biological anomoly, but we embrace them for who they are and we encourage self acceptance. But for Trans people, we must accept that the exact opposite treatment is the only course of action. Because it is painful (as are many disorders and anomolies) we are supposed to deny reality and encourage them to change themselves and if you say you accept them as they are naturally then you're treated like a bigot. What Trans people need, more than people encouraging cosmetic mutilation and a lifetime of artificial hormone therapy, is exactly the same thing that many people with physical, emotional or mental disorders need: therapy.
Im all for gay rights and the lifestyle. However I am going to say in MY opinion, a man is born a man.. and a women is born a women. There for no matter the hormones or surgical procedures, what your born as.. is what it is.
Um yes because a trans guy is never a biological woman.

if it doesn't say "FEMALE" in their birth certificate, it ain't a woman if it says "MALE" in their birth certificate, it is a man if they got dick, it ain't a woman
It depends how both partners identify themselves and their partners - So you are presumably talking straight identify guy with a trans straight identifying girl, to me they are straight.

@Gedaria you are female If that the way you feel science has proven it in our brains
transwomen are not women ! I am a woman with a woman's body ! Sex is between a male with a penis and a woman with a vagina ! Which is the way God intended it ! Thanks
Amen! Hallelujah!
Trust me with the photo you won't have to worries about sex anytime soon hun
What if they don't believe it God? They have no reason to listen to that argument.

It's not. You could be a straight man an date a transgender girl. They are women in the end.
NO they're not. If you're a guy with a transwoman then you're gay.
@ronaldo75 um hi, my opinion. Because once a trans person had a sex change, they're officially a woman so not gay.
It's not about opinions. It's about science. Straight men don't date pre-op or post-op transwomen. Let's see one of these "straight men" have a child with a post-op transwoman. @ronaldo75 Right, I'm sorry your friends had to go through that. But are you forgetting about the ones who are MUCH happier after transitioning.
your dna doesn't change the fact that you're a woman. nor does your voice and jawline.
@Sevenpointfive Okay but that’s not your problem. Let a person be who they want to be.
that's like saying i want to be a black guy. it doesn't mean i will be
I’m done arguing
You weren't "arguing" in the first place @saeyamazaki
Okay, I was asking for your opinion @Nachowedgie
They feel, are and act like women. You're still attracted to women and so you're not gay... simple as it is
But what about the penis?
@tyber1 some have had surgery, so it's not a problem. Others still have it so I would say that if a person dates a trans woman because she still has the penis, maybe he's bi. @tyber1 you have your opinion, I have mine! No further comment is needed I think
Im all for gay rights and the lifestyle. However I am going to say in MY opinion, a man is born a man.. and a women is born a women. There for no matter the hormones or surgical procedures, what your born as.. is what it is.
Two thumbs up. You can call your self a (*"**) all day and night but when you die , your going to die the same gender you were born 😁
If the trans girl was pre-op (still had male parts) I would say the guy is bi but not gay.
If the trans girl was post-op (fully switched over to being a woman) then straight maybe bi. But again not gay.
Um yes because a trans guy is never a biological woman.
if it doesn't say "FEMALE" in their birth certificate, it ain't a woman
if it says "MALE" in their birth certificate, it is a man
if they got dick, it ain't a woman
It essentially depends on how the guy dating her views her. If he considers her a woman, then obviously there's no homosexual desire in that.
Hell lets call this one a tie. I say it can be both. Gay and straight. So they could be bi-sexual.
I would not say 100% gay and not 100% straight either.
Lets just call them humans with a twist. Okay then
It depends how both partners identify themselves and their partners - So you are presumably talking straight identify guy with a trans straight identifying girl, to me they are straight.
