Most trans "women" look (and sound) like men (because they are men).

Sexual orientation is looks based, the only way the guy would be straight is if everything looked and functioned like a woman in the trans person. But thats not a thing.

hahaha, I have NO IDEA how that all works. I'm also curious. I'd be confused if I had actually run into these situations. I've never really thought about this. I'm interested to see what people reply to this. Great question! 🙂

Again, I really do have NO IDEA. This is all new to me. (newer than for you even since I'm older, but only 10 years older). I'm open to respecting anyone for who they are. I just don't know what's considered "straight" or "gay". It complicates that...

But I think that it basically comes down to whatever you 'consider yourself'. So if a straight guy sleeps with a trans girl, and considers it as "still straight because she's a girl"... I can respect that.

If on the other hand a straight guy sleeps with a trans woman, and questions whether he is indeed straight, because that girl has a penis, then I can respect that too.

So, I really don't know. Maybe trying to fit these previously unaccounted-for combinations into the dichotomy of "straight" or "gay" is a futile exercise. Like the terms no longer are very accurate or useful to describe sexuality anymore. I just don't know. But I'm interested to see what people have to say.

All depends on how the person identifies themselves and choose to see their sexual partner. They're just labels anyway, so it shouldn't matter to anyone outside of it, anyway.
