Well if I can't get 1 woman what makes you think I can get 2. As for a male being introduced to the equation, I don't like to share.

I could entertain polygamy. I am comfortable with monogamy. I think until jealousy can be made non existence, monogamy is always going to be a mainstay.

You're advocating people do something they aren't comfortable with and which is potentially very disruptive to family life. Those of us who want to allow each other sexual freedom and additional romantic attachments will manage this just fine on our own. We do not need someone telling us that our devotion to one another is retrograde and old fashioned. Social pressure, the insinuation that we are cowards, and naked FOMO are absolutely terrible reasons to allow each other such freedom. Sexual jealousy is real, sexual drama ruins childhoods, and the ONLY people who should be permitting their partners to sleep with anyone else are those who pursue it with natural enthusiasm and joy arising from their own relationship - never because it's fashionable and certainly not because monogamy is flawed.

Far from being outdated, monogamy is relatively new insofar as it is an invention of civilization. Some have argued convincingly that in fact it's how we got civilization in the first place: The natural alternative to monogamy is not polyamory but polygyny, which results in many productive and brilliant men failing to reproduce. Yes, monogamy is absolutely a social construct which is counter to mankind's nature - just like justice, education, representative government, the social safety net, and the idea of owning anything at all including one's own body. Periodically a fad comes along to challenge one of these traditions in spite of their almost universally good effect on human quality of life, and very often those promoting the fad make a point of ignoring these benefits in order to paint the tradition as outdated. But useful and helpful traditions by their very nature are never outdated. They are the bedrock of this tiny sliver of good living at the very tip of a hundred thousand year prehistory, nearly all of which was hell on earth for just about everyone.

First of all, i would attribute the success of prehistoric societies to early agriculture and animal rearing, rather than the cultural construct of monogamy.

Secondly, people can do whatever they want, but when you live in a country that's mostly monogamous and are yet CONSTANTLY inundated with messages and stories about people "trapped" in these monogamous relationships. First and foremost this is an issue of emotional literacy (something we don't teach in grade school). If people can't self-reflect and ask themselves hard questions about what they want/ who they are then I guarontee 99% of your relationships will fail until you knock someone up. Not the best outcome.
It took me years of personal growth and feeling like garbage to finally admit that monogamy isn't for me. If i hadn't explored those arguments i would still be lying to myself (and others).

FOMO is real and jealousy is real. Both are emotions that can be dealt with in a healthy, constructive way. In a healthy adult emotions (usually) don't just come out of nowhere. There's a reason you feel the way you do. Asking yourself "why" opens yourself up to hard answers.

Do what you want but, for me and millions of other people (including those who claim otherwise) monogamy just doesn't work.

Yes, monogamy is not only related to humans. Many animals are monogamous such as various species of birds, wolves and canids in general for example

Because lets be real here humans are kind of prone to jealousy, though I do agree that sooner or later people are gonna get bored, but with polyamory you run the risk of becoming a 3rd wheel

Bad for health more than two. Can't be completely satisfying. I need 7 days a week 4 to 5 times a day from one person. How can't I do it with 2 or 5 people. Not possible for me. One at a time for me. Small jaw bones.

"Rebel wannabe going against norms" is this 1957? Why do you phrase it like you're a Nazi trying to keep the youth in line?

Your ignorance and sheer stupidity are nothing short of depressing.
      1) You obviously have no idea what a Nazi is, you should read about it a bit before throwing words you don't know.
      2) I'll give you this one for free: the Nazis were defeated in 1945, so saying "1957" is plain stupid.

LOL sorry girl I just don't have the patience for this anymore. You're just a retarded brainwashed idiot that's unwittingly helping bring down the greatest culture that ever existed. You should check back on what happened to those poly-amorous societies a few years down the road... it's really funny actually. See, those once great societies like greece and rome, they started out monogamous, then things got too prosperous, life got easy, they forgot their values and the foundation they were built upon, started pursuing hedonism, polyamory, degeneracy of all kinds, just like we are, and their great societies fell apart

You think American "culture" did any of that? I'm pretty sure most of the freedom we enjoy in this country came from people who rebelled against the outdated ways of thinking. That's how change happens.

Who freed the slaves? Probably the people who wanted the slaves freed against the will of the people who DIDN'T want the slaves freed. All of those people are still Americans. American "culture" was pretty divided.

By what you just said, it's clear that you overwhelmingly agree with me, so I don't feel the need to waste too much more time here, but to be clear, American Culture is Rebellion. 1776.

Sure it's a big melting pot now, but back when America was born, even before the freeing of the slaves, there was one thing everyone came to agree upon at a certain point. FUCK OUR RULERS, WE ARE REBELLING, FREEDOM PEACE AND PROSPERITY!!!

      1776 is American culture.
