Trending & News I do but it takes a lot of self control and integrity that many people simply lack. Due to the fact people don’t shut down lustful desires that eventually lead to a demise in a relationship people say that indulging in a fantasy isn’t cheating until eventually that fantasy isn’t enough and they start dipping their toes into emotional cheating until they finally cheat and make excuses and justifications along the way.
Being non monogamous creates major issues number one cheating is DESTRUCTIVE when you cheat on someone whose loyal. But for open relationship I’ve never seen them last AND most are miserable. Including the people who try to convince you they’re not.
Yes. All my partners were pretty and good at sex, so there was no point in boinking other women. The novelty of variety had no particular appeal.
Plus, there is more to a woman than just her body. If I'm in a relationship with a woman, it's not just for sex. I genuinely liked my partners and I love my wife.
A committed relationship is something to treasure. You have things in common and know each other's likes and dislikes. You do things to make each other to be happy and fulfilled.
My wife and I have been married for nearly 29 years, had LOTS of fun, and built a wonderful life together. I adore her and would never hurt her.
I wouldn't want to share a partner with anyone and wouldn't expect them to be okay with sharing me.
There is the risk of contracting an STD if you fuck random people.
And I could trust my partners when they said they were on birth control. We went raw and fucked like rabbits with never a mishap.
It is simply far too hard to have significant OTHERS... How do you parcel out your time between two, or more, people? Think how hard it is simply to be a couple with children. That's what parceling out time is about. And kids need MORE time than adults.
Then there could be jealousy, misunderstanding and that's with two SOs KNOWING about each other and accepting the fact that they're part of a trio. Let's say they don't and the person playing this game has to juggle the stress of having two SOs and keeping them secret from each other. Ha!
However, there are people who find this kind of drama exciting, so they want to engage in it.
Do what you like. But I say, who needs stress and mess!
Yes. Being with more than one person makes me feel icky. I could never be with more than one person at a time. Once I set my heart on someone, it's them and noone else.
Yeah everyone else becomes like a brother/sister
As a relationship coach, my goal is to help folks navigate the delightful rollercoaster of love and connection. 🌟 Monogamy can be a beautiful expression of deep commitment and trust between two people. It's like choosing the same rollercoaster buddy for every ride, knowing they won't ghost you mid-loop. Not everyone's cup of tea, though, and that's perfectly fine. If it works for you, then rock it! 🥂
That is not how rollercoasters works, Brad.

I like the idea of coming home to the same woman every day for the rest of my life. I want to believe that she will always be there for me. I want to know how she takes her coffee in the morning, and what I need to do to make her feel special. And I want her to feel the same way about me.
There is far too much uncertainty in life and monogamy is a way of trying to reduce the uncertainty.
Yes, because I only want one female , that loves me like I love her , and plus my ass doesn’t want STD’s from sleeping around with different women , Intimacy and affection is best and safer with just one person
Bc SEX is something intimate to share with a special person as an extension of our love and devotion.
I believe in it for a set of reasons, but I also don't think it's not for everybody. Some people are just greedy for the thrills of new partners and/or a glutton for attention. Not everybody is happy with what they get out of a monogamous relationship.
Yes. I want a commitment to me and only me. I'm not going to be just one of the many side dishes. And I would respect my man enough to stay monogamous to him. Also, STD's are on the rise. The more people you are with the more likely you will become infected. Just my personal opinion.
I mean. Working with one person is already tough enough. Adding more than one person into it brings a whole 'nother dimension of drama.
It IS possible for poly to work for SOME people, but for the vast majority of people it absolutely won't.
It would never work for me either as I can't "spread my love" between that many people, if that makes sense. I can only give one person my love.
Because
I think it works for many people
But not necessarily everyone
I personally prefer monogamy over open relationships
But in a controlled environment I would love a threesome with two women who also want to do it with each other and me
(Not open to see any man naked)
I don’t think I would say I ‘believe’ in monogamy , it contradicts the nature of our species. I would say through social and cultural construct it’s just more normal and makes a lot more sense …and certainly the more mature I get. The majority of us want stability for many reasons not just the obvious advantage for child rearing but socially also and for lack of conflict.
Yes and not only in marriage but relationships as well. I don't buy into the whole being in relationships with multiple people thing folks have going on these days.
To me neither are right morally and it goes against my values which is why I lean towards monogamy.
I don't think humans where meant to be in a lifetime monogamous relationship with the same partner. I believe society has created this in the past.
But although I don't think it's our biological natural behaviour as a species to be monogamous, I still like monogamy and I will keep up my end of this agreement not to cheat
I feel trust, mutual respect, and the exclusive nature is very calming.
In polygamy i think sharing body, emotions, creates jealousy, untrusting, it also affects the kids. Like a bad impression.
If one gets pregnant, there is a lot of confusion whose that child is, (if female is in polygamy)
I don't understand how, with so many infidelities, including trump, that, people, somehow have tricked themselves into believing that you can truly be monogamous. Sure, some have made it work, but, should they have to MAKE it work, that's the ethical question here
No normal sane women would be with Trump. Sure he’s married and has ex’s. But like I said… No normal 😆😆
It is the best form of relationship - it is God-ordained. So I believe in it. But it is not the only way to enjoy sex. We are in the lifestyle and have been married for 27 years. Having a monogamous non-monogamy has been great to our sex life.
Because Cheaters and Hoes Break a Family! They are the bad seeds of Society trying to "de-normalise" a "basic rule" Love to be Loved, Not Love to be Shagged by 1,2,3,10,20 men and then over the years "crying that nobody wants her"...🤦♂️
With 1 in 5 of all adults having an STD on any given day, and probably 1 in 3 of the 20's cohort, it would seem somewhat necessary rather than a belief.
Monogamy is better than condoms in avoiding being a cesspit.
Believe in it? There are successful monogamous partnerships, so sure. It works for some, not as well for others. The most important thing is for a couple to have a serious and honest discussion about this fairly early.
I do. It’s just natural for me. That being said, although I only have one romantic partner, I have several best friends, and I love them all equally to my partner, just in different ways.
My ideal arrangement is a one sided open relationship, in which she enjoys unlimited freedom to date other guys, while I remain faithful and exclusive to her at all times.
No but I prefer it. To say I believe in it is giving it weight as if I agree it's wrong to not be into it. When I see nothing wrong with those who don't.
1.) Yes
2.) I just want to be committed to one person, not five.
The failure rate is too high. First marriages, about half. Second marriages are worse; 67%. 3rd or more; 73%. Humans are naturally promiscuous. Expecting them to be otherwise is just begging for failure.
In the ideal situation, yes. But few people find the ideal mate. So no, I think a little affair every now and then is healthy.
Yes, the closeness and specialty of being with someone truly special can't be replicated by 10 others.
Yes that is what most women do despite what the bitter trolls might suggest on here.
Yes! There’s no other way to be with me. Less drama, more peace, better upbringing for the kids, stronger relationships etc.
Yes because to me, dating multiple people is the same as being single.
Monogamy is the only type of sexual relationship that can escape from self erosion.
All others are doomed to fail.
Sure, just like I believe in any other type of consenting relationships.
That is how relationships should be for long term success.
Yes, why be in a relationship if you want to fuck around?
Each to their own, but the more people involved, the more complicated and drama filled it gets. I'm also just a person who doesn't want to share my partner.
Not with a white woman. White women are too primitive to have control oger their impulses, so monogamy doesn't work for them.
Yes, because I'm one of the few lucky guys who married a one in a million girl. I know there isn't a woman alive who can make me happy like she does.
I believe it exists. That doesn't constitute endorsement though.
no i don't "believe" in it. i just "prefer" it for myself.
I want a close bond, and I don't think I could handle more than one girl.
One woman is enough to deal with on a daily basis.
In the United States marriage means being married to only one person.
Not right now. My trust has shook thanks to social media
I don't, but my wife does, so it's been interesting. LOL
Yes, of course I do. Why? Because one special girl is enough for me.
Yes. I just do
Believe? No, I just don't like to share.
Yes, and i believe in family too.
Mostly just cause of my religion.
Biblical doctrine.
Yes. Its the right thing to do
Yes. It’s for long term relationships.
Yes. It's the way God designed it.
Yes, what do you mean why?😆
Polygamy is abhorrent
Sure.
accept or not monogamy is against to human nature
