So I still live in my old town I never left since everything I could want is here I never considered moving myself let alone abroad. A girl I am friends with is coming back to visit but only on the last stop before returning to home abroad. Her mom and sisters live here along with many of her oldest friends. She moved to England permanently about six years ago after taking liking to it when she visited it back in school and returns home just a few times a year mainly at special times a year.
Anyway we usually meet up and catch up together for drinks with mutual friends and while we never dated I have always liked her maybe not romantically in the past. Its complicated but she used to date my best friend who has got married and moved away they each others first love so naturally I had to spend time with her especially during college. I also dated on and off one of her best friends and even her middle sister and different points though they eventually ended.
So after initially hanging in groups with mutual friends we eventually kind of hooked up for Christmas after bonding alone and I myself was recovering from a bad break and wasn't thinking about dating but thanks to her I managed to temporarily forget all that. I really enjoyed Christmas thanks to her and we stayed in contact after she left.
When i found out she was coming back to visit this month I got excites and started realising I am into her. I want to see where it goes but a long distance relationship isn't going to work they never do.
I heard from my ex who is her sister that she is still single hasn't had much luck in relationships over there with only one lasting close to a year. But she knows there is a guy over there who she is really keen on and has been for a few years at her job but always fizzes out before it goes anywhere despite that she thinks he is the main reason she hasn't moved back despite being home sick and before she got a second job she always wanted but can easily do over here.
