I'm talking about women who are constantly smoking and drinking as well as those who occasionally do so. I've seen many of my friends smoke and drink and do shit. But they don't let a single moment pass before judging a girl who's doing so and assuming things about them. So I wanted to know what y'all think about it

Smoking, period, is a "HELL NAW TO THE NAW NAW NAW" for me. Over time it is much more destructive than drinking. Alcohol might hurt you quicker, but almost all the problems caused are reversible. Once cancer happens, it is a life long risk. Cigarette (and weed if we include that in smoking) stinks and I hate hate hate the smell. Also, smokers tend to be very inconsiderate to non smokers and just expect us to deal with it. Every smoker I've met lights up wherever they like, even when I ask them to take it outside because I do not want secondhand smoke, which is more dangerous than the smoking itself. Once I had to pay for damages to an apartment I was leaving because of how the cigarette smoke damaged the walls. Lost my deposit plus another $1000. Finally, someone who smokes shows me they do not care about their own health, which is a huge turn off to me. Drinking is not as big of a deal, if it is occasional and they are not dependent on it. I'm a recovering alcoholic (still drink socially but have not gotten drunk in 4 years as of today) so I really cannot expect someone to not drink, but I do expect them to not make a fool of themselves and expect them to be able to go without it.

If she drinks a lot, nope. If she smokes weed, nope. I don't drink or smoke, so I'm not being a hypocrite. Substance abuse does alter behavior greatly, and I've seen it happen. I used to have a less strict policy, and look how that worked out for me :/

I don't have a problem with occasionally drinking but I don't think I could be with someone who drinks a lot since I used to have a drinking problem and I constantly crave alcohol so it's not exactly the best combo lol.

My wife don't smoke and I wouldn't like it if she did. I would probably love her anyway but I'm sure I'd do anything to make her quit. She has one or two drinks occasionally out with her friends but it's very rare, so it's fine. If she drank too often... well... she wouldn't be mine and Visa versa ( goes 4 weed etc too)

Absolute 100%, not negotiable NO. This is one of my hard rules. She has no discipline to say 'no'. She has no willpower to change her life around for the better.
I don't want to be associated with a person like that. I wouldn't even be friends with such an addict.
