Question

I don’t claim to look like Jennifer Lopez

but I liked a guy from work who acted like he liked me a lot and then kept taking me off his friends list when I tried to add him to my contacts but still viewed my profile over and over again

The thing is this guy is disabled while my alma mater is ranked number 17 in the world

And I said I spent a brief 4 months in graduate school at a top school before getting kicked out

And the other thing was the guy that I perceive to be good looking might be viewed as extremely ugly to others

cause he looks like another guy I used to like and the other guy was rated a 1.5 out of 10 when I posted his photo online / 95% said he was ugly and 5% said personality is more important than looks

maybe he thinks he is both unattractive and disabled and I won’t stay loyal to him if we marry

but to me he is a 9.5 out of 10 - I think he is gorgeous

I think the possible thing is you are showing patterns of bit superiority complex here.

Nobody wants to look uguly or reminded that they are disabled if you be too nice or too caring it would definetly throw them off

Bc they don't needy pity bc they had previously overloads of it

If you really feel that you love the guy go and speak to him then he might be holding back for some reasons.

But the thing is don't think him as ugly or in your eyes 9.5 lol that really means you think he is ugly in eyes of others so somewhere you feel his ugly but you still accept him and I see a problem there and i am not sayings things to hate or something just my observation or mostly a feeling.

I have seen you doing good deeds but not sure if you are doing it from your heart or to earn merits in the eyes of God.

You are definetly good there is no doubt in it but too much is too bad.

So for him to be normal with you you need to treat him the same way

Try to talk to him face to face that's better.

I met a guy in college. He was 18 but a 3d year med student. He had green eyes, which happened to be rare and chased after by everyone. He was from a super rich family and his dad was a surgeon.
He showed interest in me for marriage. But I kind of steered away. I knew there was no way on earth I could keep his interest once we were past the honeymoon phase, and the differences and marital quarrels showed up. Also I couldn't match his rich lifestyle even though we were average but not bad financially. And I also look really ordinary and I'm sure I would lose the competition to all of the numerous super beautiful girls he would be working with or seeing as patients. I'm also not a very exciting person and again I couldn't compete with the upcoming happy energetic people he would be around. All in all he was a nice, fun guy. Honestly to this day I still can't figure out what he could have seen in me. He even called me a few years later. I was engaged to a jerk then who dumped me later because his dad told him to. But I oftentimes wonder why I didn't even give it a chance. Even if it hadn't worked out, it would have been worth a few years of my time which I wasted looking for "the one". Past regrets. Fast forward 20 years or so, I moved to the U. S. and was looking for a certain kind of OBGYN, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw his name on my search results. He had also moved to the U. S. and was an OBGYN. But that is the only thing that lightens my regret. I am very doubtful that I could have tolerated or competed with his specialty.

If this is some sorta pity act to feel good about yourself.. that would be messed up.. Assuming the above is not true..

Why not just be honest with him. Tell him you care for him... (no L word)... If he is 1.5 and you are 9.5 (or whatever you said... jayLo), he may not be very confident. Nurture him, show him you care, maybe show him what to do.

I can understand being intimidate, when you tell him that you think he's a butdamn near 10 in your eyes, I don't get why the hesitation. The only thing that comes to mind is he might have very low self-esteem. So it's gonna be hard for him to accept what you say vs what he believes as truth.

I think I’ve only been rejected once which was by some guy who is a womaniser.

I am beautiful, not gonna lie, if someone more attractive asked me out I would agree and even if someone less attractive because in the end personality matters.

As for you, this guy is insecure because you’re pretty so he thinks he doesn’t deserve you. Anyway, you don’t need him because he’ll bring you down to his insecurity level so you’ll feel like you can’t get anyone and he’s the only person you can get. He doesn’t seem like the right fit, trust your intuition.

I think it's a pretty common thing. If you think long term you won't be able to live up to the other persons expectations or you're just afraid in general it's easier to just give up.

When I was in college I dated a beautiful woman and men would always intervene on our dates. A complete stranger would approach her and try to start up a conversation with her on our dates. Many would try to get her phone number. I always hated this to the degree that I had to break it off with her. The other thing was that she was "high maintenance" so when I broke it off with her I saved a lot of money.

I did when I was in the military. This woman was super attractive and intelligent, but I rejected her because I felt like someone like her only wanted to date the uniform, not the man. Military men get targeted all the time by women who want the military benefits. Once the member leaves the military, they want a divorce.

Yes I did. I am mostly nerdy and have nerdy hobbies much into academics. Generally pretty girls find those boring. They are more into cool guys , sports stars , guys in bands. I am also not much tall.
Last time I tried with an attractive girl she told me to maintain myself high and said guys like me are only good after thirties.
Not so attractive girls are good for me as I don't have enough money now to be high maintenance.
