Have you ever rejected someone you found attractive because you thought he/she would possibly hurt you emotionally but you had no rational reasoning?

An example of indirectly would be something like being mean to repel someone even though you feel he/she is an attractive person who has done nothing wrong.

I have turned down a good looking guy, the reason lucky for me I found out that he was a bragger and told all his mates about his so called conquest

Yes because he was really nice but I always had this gut feeling that he might hurt me. Over the years I've learnt to trust my gut over issues like this. So I just went along with it and politely rejected him
