I’m 18 and as a little girl all my family members told me that the male brain is subconsciously attracted to lighter color which is why every men turn heads immediately when they see a blonde, that no matter how stunning a brunette/redhead is she can never compete against a blonde with blue eyes even if she’s average, that men that married brunettes actually just settled, and that men that says they prefer brunettes are lying out of the fear of sound racists or Nazi, or they just don’t know that they’re biologically programmed to prefer blondes.
I know it sound dumb, but it makes me feel bad as a brown haired woman to feel that I have to bleach my hair to be a man’s first choice, while I’m attracted to guys with black hair and blonde hair, blue eyes and brown hair, and tall or short, but the man that I will marry will always secretly crave a blonde.
The fact that I personally know 3 men that dumped their brunette wives for a blonde just confirm what I think...
How can I get over the fact that all men prefer blondes?
This is silly. I like all the hair colors, and had red head, blonde, black, brown, and dyed (blue, pink, etc) girlfriends and lovers. I have been with more brunettes than anything and even one love of mine was blonde but dyed her hair dark brown and it looked better than when she was blonde.
The arguments or explanations your family made are wild. I am not trying to hide racism or being a nazi or whatever silly theory they put out there.
Honestly what matters more than hair color as far as beauty is face and body. I have seen a lot of blonde girls I would not be remotely interested in dating due to their face and/or body. Of course that is the same for brunettes as well. But it’s not about the hair color. At least not for me. This might be true for more guys, I don't know, but it’s true that many women don’t like short guys. So there are a lot of short guys out there at 5’10” who are out of the running for a lot of girls due to their height, they can’t just dye their legs longer.
I really don’t think you should worry about it even if it were true stressing about it won’t make it better. Just be you and do your best, people will love you, okay?
You are 100% accurate on your facts. When people on here are saying they are false facts they are wrong. The studies, polls, and hard facts since the 1950's just in America alone have shown straight men will marry a brunette/brown/black hair women but 70% divorce rate in the country and stats show cheating was not just with younger women but with Blonde hair women. Also blonde hair women (can also be colored hair goes for the married stats as well), are more likely to be CEO's, in the adult industry (men prefer them), Cheerleaders for most of the main stream looks wanted only blondes front row for many decades. Now these facts did not include racial profiling only hair colors of women. I am a natural blonde with blue eyes, colored my hair black once, now I am a red head. I will say I never got any attention with my dark hair color and tan (sadly), always had attention with my blonde hair and with my red hair it's ridiculous. However I have been in the beauty industry for 13 years and I love my friends, they are the most gorgeous women and they have amazing marriages to gorgeous amazing men and they all have different color hair and skin types. We are in a new era and new age. Men see things a little different in your age group and you're still young.

I mean look at the sex symbols we have right now; Megan fox, Kim kardashian, salma hayak, Ariana grande, Sofia vergara, Angelina Jolie, mila kunis, the list goes on. Point is all these women are seen as attractive but none of them really look alike. That’s because beauty comes in all forms and colors. What someone finds attractive, someone else might not. Some guys like Asian girls, some like black girls, some like latinas, some like white girls. It all depends on who you ask. While there is a percentage of men who are more attracted to blondes than brunettes, it's not the majority. Most men have no real preference about hair color. The big preference is LONG hair - men have an overwhelming preference for long hair.
People might say that and maybe it´s true but most of the women that I´ve fallen in love until weren´t blond. It might stastically so that because in studies guys shows the blond women over others, scientists say guys only choose blonds. But that´s not the case for all guys. Don´t believe because if you go out, saying to yourself: "No one will fall in love with me." That´s gonna happen for sure, because you will act like that. Then no one will fall in love with you, because guys like me we don´t just look at a woman, we also take a look at her body language. This is absolutely absurd, and false. I don't know where your family got this insane idea. I never had a blonde girlfriend. My wife of 50 years has black hair and brown eyes, for the record. And before her, I had four girlfriends, who were, respectively, a brunette with hazel eyes, a girl with light brown hair and gray eyes, a girl with dark red-brown hair and green eyes, and another girl with black hair and brown eyes. And I was STRONGLY attracted to each of them at the time. Other traits were, and are, much more important to me that what color her hair is! I think all women are awesome and amazing! I grew up in the north of the country where there were lots of blondes. I was surrounded by them my whole childhood. I didn't like them. I don't think I ever had a blonde girlfriend. Black, Latina, native American, Asian... no blondes. What got my attention was curly black shiny hair.

The reason why men may look after blondes, is the hair colour is more rare and thusly is more noticeable as it is different.
But this can also be you being affected by confirmation bias, if you believe men only like blonde hair, you will notice every single one fitting into the behaviour you are expecting, while not noticing anyone disproving your believe.

Scientifically red can be seen from the greatest distance. I’ll always see red first. My eyes will always be drawn to it...
It’s also my least favorite color. It’s ugly as sh*t and I mean that literally. Red is angry and violent and death and blood and warning signs and fire.
Green is a lovely deep color that’s trees and peace and nature and life.
Green blends in. It’s a camouflage color. Red stands out. It’s attention grabbing. I hate red. I love green.

Not every guy is the same. There are many that prefer black and brunette hair. There are some that like red heads the most probably proportionate to the real red head population.
I personally like all types of hair. All have different vibes. What matters most are the girl's facial structure.
These are the traits I tend to associate with each type of hair colour:
Blonde - Positive, outgoing, adventurous
Black - Possibly seductive, colder yet enticing demeanor, mysterious
Face, breasts, and butt shape are more important then hair color, If there was a flat blondie and a flat brunette I would be equally likely to date either of them, If you were comparing a blonde who was perfect against a brunette who was perfect I would go for the blonde, but no one is perfect, you don't need to dye your hair either, If I dated you I wouldn't break up with you simply because someone else was better, I would already know dating you that you aren't perfect and that's fine, so I wouldn't worry about it as much as you are, what you need to do is find a guy who won't breakup/divorce you because of your physique, that includes hair color, so you have less trashy men asking you out and more guys with morales so you end up in a better relationship because you end up with a guy who doesn't care about hair color that much.
Well, there might be different approaches, I would try first to decide if I want to continue believing this idea. Once I choose to accept or reject this concept. I'd commit to loving and embracing my natural color. Making it intentional and choosing to really see the beauty of it. There are so many beautiful people with different hair colors, I'd try to reach for a visual image that is relatable and positive that might serve as a role model to inspire myself. You can create a visual board to hold accountability and continue inspired on Pinterest. Also, I'd try to journal each day writing down my thoughts and ideas on the journey. You can create 3 categories: What makes you love your hair, what might be a challenge and you noticed it in your mind, actions, behavior, what is helping you to stay positive in your process.

Last I checked they have Mostly Black or brown Hair the exact opposite of Blond. I am a blond-haired, blue-eyed, white man who's immediate family all have blond hair and blue eyes, and an extended family of people who almost exclusively only are white with blind hair and blue eyes. I prefer women with dark brown hair and brown eyes because I wouldn't want to date/fuck someone who I think could be my cousin.
Besides, I would find a different hair color and eye color more interesting. I have insecurity issues and feelings of inferiority with people with darker color hair and eyes, yet desire them at the same time and wouldn't want anyone who I'd feel is lesser. On top of that I want a woman with a body shape and personality I'd consider to be decent.
OK, now I feel guilty. I prefer blonds. Not make-believe blonds, but natural ones. However, this is not to say I fail to see drop-dead gorgeous women that are sexy as hell. I do. Never heard of all men liking blondes. They might find them attractive but not acutally want to be with them. I have natural blonde hair and I dye it cause I look more attractive with darker hair and lots of men have said my hair is better dark so at least in my life men like darker hair.

I started out in my first relationship with a blonde, but I only prefer brunettes now. That’s partly to do with all the women in my family being blondes. But, I think it also depends on the era men grow up in. I grew up between the 80’s and 90’s when brunettes like Brooke Shields and Denise Richards reigned supreme. 2020 just may not be a great era for brunettes unfortunately.

Not necessarily true. Historically blondes have been regarded as the most beautiful but that's changed a lot in the past few decades. A lot of guys out there prefer brunettes and darker women. There's a lot of guys out there who have a thing for latinas for example.

Blonde girls tend to stand out more that’s true but I’ve been more attracted to brunettes , and black hair colours more. Now that I think of it I have never had a crush on a blonde women but, they do catch my eye when i see them.

I have never actually liked a blonde in my life but it doesn't mean I'm not attracted to blondes.
All I can tell you is your natural hair colour will always look healthier than dyed and that's whats looked for.

I can't speak for others, but I personally don't care what hair color a girls has. My girlfriend is a natural brunette, but has had blonde and now red hair and nothing about my attraction to her has ever changed.

Blondes are a TINY fraction of the world's population and are historically native only to northern Europe before colonization. Most people throughout history and in most of Asia, Africa, Australia and the Americas wouldn't have even SEEN a blonde person. And yet, they were all fucking every chance they got.
