Nah, around here if I say where I work, eyes light up kind of thing. So it's far from ashamed, more like tell me more, and how many dollar signs do I make. You have to be careful too.
I'm passionate about my job, I need to talk about it and somtimes boast about what a great job I've done, because I get no compliments from other by doing my job. I sometimes hate my job and I sometimes love it, but I've rarely been ashamed of it.
I'm a security officer, while I'm not ashamed of my job, the pay is shit and it has been an issue for dates that I've had in the past. I think because these women that I was dating were training lawyers and nurses.
I'm not ashamed of my job, but I do try not to talk about it right away or much. Sometimes people get the wrong idea or I think I'm able to do things or willing to do things that I can't/won't do.
I usually don't talk about my job to other people because I found that many times it frightens them, or, they want to ask me a million questions about it and quite honestly I don't particularly like talking about it.

I am pretty open about everything to people. Even to friends. I may not bring up the topic myself, but I don't mind talking about it.

Not really but it’s not that impressive to some women
I don't like too. Makes me feel like they are a gold digger at my age.
Nope I just show them this vid
https://www.youtube.com/embed/lSt04IPqFfMBreaks the ice and cloaks my job in mystery.
I don't understand your question. Why should I be ashamed of talking about my job?
What kind of job are your referring to?
Yes, I'm completely broke, just got out of the mental hospital, and I was given a bunch of pills. Who wouldn't be ashamed? I'm a mess.

Not necessarily ashamed, but I didn’t want the guy or guys to feel intimidated.

I never tell anyone what I actually do.
It came from. a job where I wasn't actually allowed to, then it just stuck.
I actually find, making out i don't have a great job works in my benefit
No because I know that’s a way for me to earn money and if they don’t like it then they can leave.
Ashamed no, but not a topic I like to talk about because it's pretty boring past the surface.
Lol no. But I don't have a job... plus I live with my boyfriend..
Not ashamed but it's annoying having to explain to people that I don't have a set finish time
Well, I'm a disabled vet who can't really work, so, yeah...
I don’t have a problem with it. I work as a PA in a hospital. However, I have to watch what I say about my job since some people are easily squeamish.
Never I have always been very proud of the companies that I have worked for!
