What was the most embarrassing thing you've said in a job interview? Do you think that that had anything to do with you not getting the job? Or if you were the one giving the interview, what was the most awkward/strangest thing a candidate said in an answer to an interview question?
Nothing all that embarrassing but I recall my first job interview after finishing grad school. (Long time ago.) I had never heard of that question before, "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" Very common question now but not really back then. Wow I didn't know what to say to that. So I was pretty awkward. The regional director who interviewed me was pretty understanding of young new grads and was a good guy. I did get the job.

Interviewed plenty of people, as a department head.
Stupid shit they've said is everything from claiming to work for a company they didn't (I knew the company, and the six people who were in their admin team) to trying to hit on me to get herself into the job.
My first ever interview at a car wash I had just turned 16 and when the interviewer asked me to tell him about myself, I started talking about myself as in… how many siblings I have, where I was born, etc lmao. I had no fuckin clue I was a baby.
When I was much younger, I told a potential new boss he was good-looking. He promptly gave me a dirty look and told me he was married.

This is from 25-30 years back. I was interviewing with a CEO who knew my dad from his last experience. This is only understandable in our own language but if I paraphrase, after talking about my dad for 2-3 minutes, he asked what was the current line of work. I started talking about my dad only to be told after I finished: "Ok but how about you? I was asking about you". What made it worse was that they were TWO interviewers.
What’s embarrassing is that I said almost nothing. My memory is terrible and I’m not good at explaining things,(plus I don’t know much about money), so my dad did almost all the talking. He’s always either busy with work or doing everything for me. I’ve asked various times to help me do things like driving and managing money, but he doesn’t even have time to help my mom…
I had one guy ask me if it's against company policy for him to masterbate during lunch break. Needless to say he didn't get hired
It wasn't so much what I said, but how I reacted. I said my dad had cancer and I was working in the field to help find cures cancer and rare diseases. I teared up and couldn't talk for 2 minutes. It was the most awkward interview I ever had, and I feel confident that was the main reason why I didn't go forward for that position.. My dad passed away less than 2 months later, but that's another story.
I’ve had multiple people ask me how negotiable failing a drug test is.
I like to fuck my girlfriend's pussy. (I was talking about her cat.)
Apparently, it doesn't matter what the fuck I say because, no matter how well-fitted or experienced I am for a job, they're never gonna give it to me!
I’ve always had this notion in my head of guy walking into Bojangles interview looking around and saying, “where’s the Colonel Sanders?” KFC chicken….
I'm too careful to say anything embarrassing those times
I used to hose shit out of bathrooms at a pier, so I'm used to dealing with peoples bullshit
Didn't get the jobIt's more like what I did not what I said but it was super embarrassing lol
Do not be to open about private life. Stay focused on selling yourself.
I've never had a job interview and not been offered a job
Got called a pretentious prick for walking into the interview in a suit and I just laughed
"I might have failed to get a job but, i got an offer to you heart" what i said to my female interviewer.
"Why don't we slip out of these interview clothes and into some whips and chains."
Wages, my friend got job with some wages. I asked a little bit more. And they rejected me.
Whole interview. But i know what į am interested in the future job interview.
