Why does my crush keep making really forward jokes about dating me, having sex, saying "love you"?

We've got some flirting going on, just classic stuff. Always in each other personal space, teasing, compliments and stuff.

But he's always joking like:

Saying "Love you!!!" all the time
Saying stuff like "do you kiss on the first date?"
Saying stuff like "you'll be the shortest girl I get to sleep with"
Saying stuff like "now you're single, you gotta let me look after you"
Saying stuff like "we should grab coffee now we're not under house arrest"

All said in like a joking way?

Cus it's all so weird, does it mean he doesn't like me? Surely he'd be more reserved if he did?

It sounds like IS being reserved- this is just the next step. It's funny how we always look at people who act so shy around their crushes and think "Why don't you just say how you feel?". Then we get a crush on someone, and act the same way. He's kinda feeling you out, trying to see if you're interested, too. If you are (and it sounds like that's the case, since you're referring to him as "my crush"), you can call him on it: when he says "we should grab coffee", smilingly reply with "Sounds good- Saturday work for you?" (or what have you). He'll probably sputter a little, but if he's interested, it'll let you get together smoothly, without risking loss of face.

Maybe test him to see if he likes you. When he is making a joke about having a relationship with you, laugh and say jokingly " you're always playing its not like you want to date me or interested in me." Wait for his answer.
