Here is the thing about knowing anyone platonically... all that is BS. Sure, if you really get know each other, like you have been neighbors all your life gone to school together. You get to know each other in ways that are not romantic... but when you become older and you feel and know you can trust someone... it can develop into a more romantic type relationship and then again you just may see each other much more like siblings and have all that just doused. In other words it could be a turn off and then again a real turn on.
