The things that attract you to somebody are different from the things that keep you involved with somebody and it’s possible the comedian does not take his marriage vows seriously since he views everything as a joke.

Comedians tend to see the world unfiltered, so when their SO's pull typical bullshit, it's impossible to ignore, so they confront it and things get messy when you face down a manipulative asshole / bitch.
