No. From 1992-1994, I visited 3 counselors to help me get over a heartbreak and deal with a major change in life (moving from New York to Los Angeles for a new job and to get away from where my exGF was).
I lost my job in 1994, but that was because I just didn't have my shit together my entire time that I was in Los Angeles. But it wasn't because I went to counseling. It definitely helped me and never hurt my career.
And, quite honestly, I've been thinking about going back because I am beginning to lose it..

Depends on the reason & why you did, like some state jobs look at that and law enforcement and Military look at that too, but once your in the job i don't think they will use that agaisnt you while working the job unless your trying to claim disability benefits or some type of payment claim that the job caused you to go to a therapist or something.
Not necessarily.
Depends on diagnosis and if you'd still be fit for duty.

I believe they are not allowed to hold it against you that would be wrong for them to do so also what about the addicts who become a therapist and what about the mentally ill that become therapist they are not allowed to hold that against your career
It shouldn't, however you would want to keep it as private as possible. It normally wouldn't be for others to know about.

It will mainly depends on who you are, money issue,
