I have been talking to this guy for like a. week or so. And he is not my usual type. He doesn’t check most of my boxes. I am in college and he didn’t graduate high school and he smokes. But I can’t help but admit that I may have slight feelings for him. And I don’t know what to do. He is very attentive, he makes sure I know that he is actively pursuing me and he is funny. I just don’t know about like where it’s going to lead. I’m new to dating so I’ve never really had these experiences. What did u do when u started to like someone who didn’t check your boxes? Have u ever dated anyone who wasn’t your type?

I’m just going to say maybe you should date him. You are going to college and bettering your education and he isn’t. That’s a big sign that he isn’t on your level. The fact he smokes and doesn’t go to college shows where he is heading in his life. You might not want to pursue this connection for real. I was recently ghosted by a guy who isn’t in college and smokes. He wasn’t looking for anything serious at all and this may be the situation that’s similar. The guy wasn’t my type either. So I will say be careful and don’t give your all to him because he may disappoint. Just look at his life and it will tell a lot. I hope that provided some insight. The situation you described sounds so similar to my recent situation.

Thank you for replying and I’m honestly a late bloomer when it comes to dating. I will say that I’m not looking for a boyfriend in him and I would kind of feel weird because my standards are usually different. But he is fun to talk to but I’m looking to play the field more than anything. I think he id looking for something serious tho and that is what’s making me kind of afraid to pursue further cause I like that he likes me🤦🏾‍♀️
