Is there anything I am doing right that an older man might be interested in? How can I keep him interested?

Have liked video games but I will be careful online and yes, he did go to a special learning disabilities school. The age difference between us is about 5 years age gap. It's just my actions that attract older guys more than younger guys. I was the first to message, and I eventually received a response on Sunday 14. Five years is not a big gap. My wife and I are five years apart, and we've been together five decades! As you get older, a five-year gap will get smaller and smaller as a percentage of your ages. All I would advise is to just be yourself. Be honest about who you are and what you want and try not to put on "fake" version of yourself to lure anyone.
If you are 23 and he is 28... that sounds like a good fit, age wise.

Just be yourself when you around him, show that you are interested and ask if he would like to go do things together or he will ask you. If you both enjoy video games, ask if he would play video games with you. There is no true to a guys heart as we are all different and to keep them interested, the best thing to do is to put your best self out there and enjoy the ride

I think different people will be interested in different things but I do think some guys like it when the girl takes the initiative and you have guys that don't care who takes the initiative they are more interested in you as a person
