Girls, what's one thing you all have in common which men should know?

Growing up I used to hear very ignorant stuff that puts all women in one baskit. But then only in GAG that you can recognise the tremendous variation..

But to make things easier for guys dating, what would you say something, or at least one thing, which you can say is all women have in common in regards to relationship with men?

Great question. And a tough one.

It could be that just about all females are more verbally-oriented than males, and I do think that one of the biggest differentials between the sexes is the level of desire for talking. Females bond through words, very often. Time spent, activities, shared experiences, etc., are all important too, but they seem to be universally more important to men whereas actually talking while doing those things is less of a priority or importance. Men generally cannot absorb all that females put out - not just words, but the intensity of emotions, thoughts, observations about life, him, their relationship. I think there just has to be an awareness of this, and a certain amount of acceptance that this will be a struggle. A good relationship is one where the couple can spend a lot of time together, be in the same room, etc., but not have to put so much pressure, beyond that, on the other person. Proximity is good.

At the same time, females need to acknowledge this disparity, and that men are not 'broken' or 'wrong' for wanting more quiet time, less talking, more alone time, etc. Females like to analyze their relationship. But it would be better if they analyzed with their girl friends, not with their partner all the time.

Also, expectations of what the relationship is, are higher with females, generally. So good luck with dealing with that, as men. I think they need to temper their expectations, and men need to never stop putting work into the relationship. They can die on the vine, with either situation.

We want to feel loved through your actions. Most men don’t care about things like birthdays and flowers etc but it means a lot to us. We feel secure in a relationship when a man shows us through ACTIONS that he loves us and not just words. If we don’t feel secure that’s when the relationships starts crumbling.

so yes, best to see them as individuals and their own person, rather than "just another one who's going to be the same"
