Guys, Long distance - Should we stay friends until we meet up?

I would love your opinion on something...
If you meet a woman online and you really start to like her, you develop strong feelings, etc. - would you be willing to keep things platonic/friendly until you meet, or not? I want to make a suggestion to a guy, because having feelings complicates matters and is putting too much strain on the connection. (Long Distance).

Your acting like your able to just turn off your feelings if u say u already have a strong connection then just saying we will stay friends ain't gonna do a thing as if he told u about some girl he saw that looked nice u are telling me u would be absolutely fine with that

You can't know for a fact that you have feelings for someone you haven't met. That's why I'd like to suggest starting from a level of friendship. Having feelings over a phone VS. in person, it's a different thing...
