1. This is a no-brainer. Often this stems from racism. Not wanting their own 'race' to die out. This mindset goes back to the ancient tribe mentality. Even though people would deny not being racist, this happens to be the case a lot of times.

2. Much of it has to do with culture. Often when you date outside your own race, you date outside your own culture. A white person dating an Indian is vastly different compared to when that white person dates another white person and the Indian is dating another Idnian. It is by no surprise that dating outside your own race (and thus culture) increases the odds of the relationship to fail. Because there are (cultural) differences. This does NOT mean that dating outside your own race makes you prone to experience failures, but do keep in mind that there are more often than not extra obstacles that need to be overcome.

3. So when parents don't want their children to date outside their own race has to do with this. It ALSO often has to do with image/reputation. Like it or not, many races and cultures out there look down on their 'people' dating someone from outside. Hence why the whole stereotype that black women for example look down on black men who date white women. Because "what is wrong with a strong sister?". And I'm sure that plenty of black men who chose this path can tell you this from experience.
This isn't exclusive to black people of course, but to basically the majority if not all races.

Maybe they don't want to deal with racist comments/conflicts at family gatherings. Especially if they are White, there will be plenty of racist comments from the other race person's family and relatives and they will all think it is okay, then if the White person defends themselves they will get labeled as racist.
I have seen it before. It is pretty common to end up that way.

I dont care if my child interracially dates as long as they are not self hating. If my child refuses to ever date one of their own, then my child needs to grow tf up and do some research. So date whoever you want but dont assume other ethnicities are superior/inferior. Everybody has a type but that type’s race shouldn't play too big of a part

I can't speak for other people out other parents.. for myself personally as a parent, I don't care what ethnicity either of daughters would choose to date. It's more about going they have a partner that treats them with the love and caring and respect they deserve...

It's a character flaw. It's usually uninvited opinions or under developed opinions.

Have you ever watched videos of KKK leaders becoming friends with Black people and shortly after, many milkshakes, leaving the KKK to march to a new tune? Well that is a case of an under developed opinion becoming developed. It is more of a belief in that case.

There is a hispanic or a latino dude of this site who is always or at least ever blue moon posting about Black men dating white girls. The posts always sound super racist and I report them. The scary thing he cannot see how they are racist post. If you look at the science behind race, it is the stupidest thing on the planet. Black people are more different than other black people than black people and white people are different. That's how dumb it is. Anyway it is because race naturally does not exist.

They are very close minded and controlling. It's one thing to prefer it for themselves but another thing to try to force their views on others and in this case to get in the way of the happiness of their son or daughter.

They're old fashioned. They could be racist or they just have outdated beliefs. Who their children want to date should be up to them (if they're adults and old enough to make their own decisions). I hate that there are ignorant people who feel the need to make rude comments about interracial couples. I would absolutely hate it and get really pissed off if any of my relatives did that to me.

I don't think it's about race at all in many such cases... it is more likely to be a cultural thing. Parents would prefer for their child to have a partner of a similar background so they can get along and raise their children in a more traditional (to them) way.

Also, interracial marriages are more likely to fail so that's a consideration.

The looks of the offspring and a hint of Xenophobia. Some people fear delving into other cultures and dont like going to gatherings where they feel like a minority. I get where they are coming from but I dont agree with it. I'm dating outside my race now and I see no problems with it. I grew up around a lot of different races of people. But Latin peoples and cultures really rubbed off on me at a young age and I think that's why I prefer Latina women most of all.

Mostly it's not about race, it's about CULTURE (or subculture, as it happens). Radically different ideas about what to do and how to do it are a sure source of conflict, and a potential source of serious fights. No parent is going to want that for their kids.

Well, people usually refer to humans when they say people or race so I’ll assume you’re doing the same. They’re probably just being a little too technical. The context for that is, if their child does the opposite of that then they think their offspring will be hybrids. Like a tiger and a lion. So yeah from this POV, it is blasphemous but the only reason why he didn’t like it that one time was because Angels were one of the hosts…… I do t know
