Why is it that the people we're attracted to never like us back? (Page 2)

Does it ever happened to you? Or is it just me? I've been realising that it seems to happen quite a lot. So how come people get together? Is it that one of them always end up giving in? Do mutuality really exists in relationships? When I was younger I used to have crushes, but now I don't trouble myself with it anymore, seems pointless.

I did some self reflecting and I’m too stoic and distant to attract anyone I don’t really care if people like me I’d prefer if more people hated me maybe you should look inward and see what undesirable traits you possess

People that feel this way usually self-sabotage decent chances out of feelings of unworthiness. Might not even know they are doing it. Or they straight up pick people that are known to be unattainable as a safety mechanism for similar reasons.

They do its just that its rare. Also we tend to think more about the attractive ones who rejected us rather than the attractive ones we actually won over.

It all comes down to timing. You have to realize that not everyone is ready to like someone... they could be chatting with someone else already unbeknownst to you, or have personal issues going on that hinders their want or need to pursue your advances. It simply has to be the right time, and when were young, which idiosyncratic group you fit into also. means a lot... like who you eat lunch with at school, for instance.
