Why do some men approach high-maintenance women and complain when they need to spend?

I’ve seen this happening over and over again. I have this friend who emphasises so much on her look and reputation that she will never go to cheap restaurants, take at least 2 hours to get ready, go for holiday every month, own expensive make up and wear branded clothes. I have noticed she has so many men drooling over her, the worst thing is try to ask her out then start bitching when they get rejected or complain about having to spend. To be honest even as a woman myself, I can’t stand her lifestyle which is why I try to avoid going out with her as I couldn’t afford to follow her flow.

Girls like that are all sexual appeal. You basically pay to have sex with them, except it's not a direct transaction exchange: it's dinner and mall trips and make up and other things that cost money. I feel like this still sounds like prostitution :/

The women are trophies. To be seen with these women is a boost to the guy's ego. Once the guys realize how expensive it is to date these women, they have to vent their frustration. The guys try to pretend the are living a Champaign life style while actually being on a beer budget.
