It’s pretty much based on obsession and lust, they fought a lot (sometimes it gets physically and emotionally abusive), there was infidelity involved. Yeah the movie showed that they always made up after an argument and that the highs were high but the lows were low. They were almost always at each other’s throat (either fighting or sticking their tongues down each other’s throat)
