Do you think more women should start paying for their own dates to avoid pressure think you owe someone something for going out with them?

I feel like it would be better if both parties paid their own meals and just spent time with each other, is that not what a date is for. Just to spend time with each other and get to know each other while having some fun. Why does one person have to pay for it all than get upset when that person feels like you owe them something? I think this would be avoided if you paid for yourself or at least half? At the same time men/women should not expect something from anyone and its rude to do so. I still think that in today's world, men and women should be able to spilt the tab and make things even so no one is expected to do anything.

I never had an issue with paying for a measly meal. It seems gentlemanly and I like women who want to be treated like ladies.

I never expected any quid pro quo. Good God! I just hoped that we would have a mutual connection and want to continue seeing each other.

What's the big deal with paying? Any guy who thinks a meal buys him sex is a piece of shit. A girl who would go on a date just to get free food is also a complete loser. I could see through that shit pretty quickly. Also, a girl would have to be pretty cheap to trade sex for a meal. And a girl who would cave into coercion has issues. I want her to want a relationship because she's into me, not because she is easy or feels obligated.

I think the person who requests the date should treat the other person. I can't imagine a girl asking me out and expecting me to pay. If the date went well, I would offer to pay but I wouldn't insist. I'd be gracious.

If I asked her out and she offered to go Dutch, I might think that's a considerate thing to do. But, as a gentleman, I would pick up the tab. If she insisted on paying her half, though, I would think that she was either up tight or feminist.

Dates ofer glimpses at how a guy will treat a girl in the future. Most women (not the feminazi-types) want a man who can provide and care for them.

Some of them want that because they want to be a stay-at-home mom, and some just want the reassurance that if they need it, the guy can take care of them. Don't criticize the women for having those desires, because that is what they have been taught.

I pay for everything on dates, even if the woman makes more money than I do (and I've dated a few millionaire women,) unless she is taking me out for my birthday.

Going dutch isn't a problem. But would that really stop the men who think they're entitled to sex just because they want it? Women should start paying for their own dates for one simple reason: equality. Women seem to want equality only when it benefits them.

The problem is that women delude themselves into thinking it's okay in this case by saying "whoever asks the other person out should pay". The problem of course is that most women always expect the man to do the asking, so it's very convenient for them since they will never have to put the effort into approaching, never have to risk rejection and never have to pay.

This is an example of the dishonesty, hypocrisy and entitlement modern women are so well known for.
