How late is too late to have a first girlfriend?

Frankly, I'm concerned that I won't have any relationship skills when I eventually "get a girl", somehow. i'm just too socially awkward & shy and been this way for as long as I can remember, It might be difficult to learn some skills if I haven't been practicing already and may be another ten years before it happens. I'm 26 turning 27 this year which means I have 3 years left before I'm officially 30 and still have yet to experience what it's like to be in a relationship at all, meaning I never been on a date, had my first kiss etc. For many guys who have never been close to girls, their interactions are still at around the middle school level, where all they do is talk about who they think are hot but never do anything. I don't want to be like them but it is next to impossible to have girls chase you unless you are a rockstar or chizzled out of the finest marble. How late would be too late to start a relationship for the first time?

Why are you waiting for a girl to chase after you? Women want a man who will take the lead and make things happen, not a guy who sits back and spouts excuses.
