No, nobody should lower their standards. Let's assume they within a normal range.
I mean if you live in your mother's basement at 35 and still dream about having a supermodel, or when at 35 you never had a boyfriend as you weight 400 pounds and still want to tall, dark, handsome, rich guy, you probably should change your life first and then lower your standards. Just two extreme examples.
But normal, average people should stick to their dealbreakers. It's not worth it to be with someone just for the sake of not being alone.
Especially as if you can't be alone, maybe you shouldn't cling on to a relationship, it's not going to be healthy.

I think they need to "improve" their standards if they haven't found a long-term partner. If my idea of "improvement" is their idea of "lowering", then we have very different aesthetics. Theirs might be based far more on materialistic and hedonistic standards while my notion of a "high standard' is based on "high compatibility".
If anything, I kept "raising" my standard until I met my now-wife. It was raising the standard, not "lowering" them, that led me to marry her when I was just a month shy of 30. Of course, to some younger people, they might say I "lowered" my standard since I dated a swimsuit model in my early 20s. And I would say they have the "wrong" standard unless they're just looking for the shapeliest bodies in the bedroom (I never found a huge difference between a swimsuit model and an ordinary slim woman once the clothes come off).
Nah standards are entirely up to the person so there is no NEED.
A man might be even more desired than what he was in his twenties.
Now some people have unrealistic standards but they are free to reject the people they crush on and stay single.
No! I believe as you gracefully get older so should your standards. Yes its a smaller circle but still I believe when you reach a certain age a lot of Bs and time wasting should be Done with!
Now by that age you should at least know yourself and what you want in a partner or life.
Doesn't have to be perfect or All figured out either, we each have our own timing. I say find someone thats on the same page as you and who is also actively working towards if not the same , but similar things as you!

Depends really. Its important to adapt to your situation especially if you're not finding anyone to date. Maybe your standards are either too high or they are just ridiculous ones that nobody is going to be able to meet. Its okay to have standards but just have the right ones on your list.
No but people need to have realistic expectations across all ages and parts of their life.
You need to keep your standards high. If men want women they need to raise their standards to the woman's. Stick to your guns woman
No. I'm not looking for a rich, supermodel SO. I'm looking for a partner and companion, almost like a best friend with a deep intimacy.
No 😂 Having standards is normal regardless of the age
No, if anything I'm much less reckless than I was when I was younger. Getting your emotions messed with is not fun so I'm being more careful with red flags.
Some standards, yes; others are okay to keep. You should loosen up on the trivial attributes like height; but stick to the truly important ones like they don't do drugs.
Depends on what their standards are.
But I do think they can have whatever standards they want to have.why? to get with a shitty partner and be unhappy for the rest of their life?
Nope.
No it is always up to the individual person.. but it is maybe worth considering a change of standards, at least if you want kids.

No of course not but as get older learn more about what's really important and what's a load of bs
It depends. Some standards should never be lowered. Because they're essential to having a healthy relationship.
The pool of available people definitely get smaller so yes, they have to lower their standards.
Why lower your standards at any age? It's not like someone gave them to you.
No need. If u not got anyone till then, you fucked anyways...
But seriously, age is just a number. No, they need to change them rather than lowering them.
