Where you live is it still very taboo to date interracially?

I was wondering if anyone still gets looked down upon for being in interracial relationships or if it's still taboo to people you're around. Let me know if its specifically with a certain race, like in my case I've noticed older white people in my area hate that I date black men or I'll get looks. Anyone experienced issues like these in today's world?

I was married to a Native woman, but back in the early 2000's nobody cared.
Some probably even thought it was awesome because there weren't many interracial couples in my area really. These days I would probably get some jealous lady telling me I have an "Asian fetish" even though she isn't Asian. The world is more racist these days then 20 years ago because of the hate passed around on the internet. I bet a big part of why you get dirty looks for being with Black guys is because of racist internet porn.

You're ALWAYS going to have that with certain people. I just laugh it off and think "what a small world filled with fear they live in". It makes me pity them.

I live in an urban area and interracial couples are common. No one really cares here. Diversity is seen as normal but in rural areas and small towns where it’s mostly conservative white people, you probably do run into that 1950’s mentality still.

Interracial dating is the norm in most of the Southern US.

Thankfully, no; we've moved past that. It wasn't always that way, though. Once, my sister brought home a boyfriend to meet us, and mom, seeing them get out of the car, was surprised to see he was black. She was also delighted- not in an "Oh, my daughter is so *progressive*!" sense, but because it never occurred to her to even mention it; it simply didn't seem important.

It might raise a few eyebrows in the Northeast USA, but it is mostly accepted. There are still some very conservative families around that might have some negative words for their relatives if they brought home a boyfriend/girlfriend of another race. But that would be an exception rather than the norm.

Well, most of my interracial dating was done in the 1980s and 1990s, and there were negative comments about it back then from black males and white females, but when I did some of it in the last few years, I didn't notice any and I haven't noticed any of that attitude where I currently live.

I think it is still taboo for white men and Asian women to date each other, at least when it comes to the white women's point of view.

I'm dating an Asian babe and white women usually give us the stinky eye and some of them believe that we're together because of a fetish.

I am white of German/Irish decent " Yes i know German/ Irish " = A hardhead that likes a good time I still live in north eastern central Pennsylva in the USA. I am not even commenting on this subject because it is still so controversial!

No one cares who you date from a race perspective. It's their behavior and reputation that matters.

No. I suppose there are a few very old people who would raise their eyebrows, but it is so common it's not a big deal here.
