Straight Women, tell us in plain English: What do you want from men?

My engaged friend Taylor says guys just need to be confident, funny, and good men. But is she right?

So I asked this before on GAG several months ago. What do you want from men? I got maybe one or two answers, at most. We all know no one should be satisfied with mediocrity or worthlessness. "Average" is dogsh*t and understandably, no woman should want a mediocre, replaceable, valueless man who just shows up.

But from men's side though, modern women's standards are insanely high and it seems like many modern women severely overestimate their own value and worth, and severely underestimate men's value and worth. Even hideous, smelly, obese, or horrible women seem to think they have a platinum coochie and are entitled to perfect 9s and 10s for men who make seven figures or more.

But on women's side (at least here on GAG), so many women claim that they don't have ludicrously high standards and that they just want a man in the real world who can treat them well, and that they all aren't asking for Michael B Jordans or Jason Momoas out there.

So men think women ask for way too much and give very little in return, and women think they have reasonable, realistic standards in men.

So women: Here's your chance to prove us wrong.
What do you REALLY want in a man? A long-term partner and lover.
BE REALISTIC!

If you give a laundry list of crap that only 0.01% of men in any given town can exist as, I will respond to your answer with the bullsh*t icon (🐂💩), and you'd only be proving men right. This one time, I'll even leave the anonymous comments on (don't make me regret it).

Well for me it should be kindness, they should be respectful not only towards me but to also other people, he should be funny cause I love to laugh and smile plus I also have a bit of sense of humor myself. He should also be sweet and kindhearted and gentle. He should also have passion. And loves children, I would love to be with someone that wants kids as much as I do and wants to settle down and have stability.

When we go on our first date it doesn't have to be fancy. Ideal first date I would love to go to a lovely cafe or on a picnic and go for a walk afterwards. He doesn't have to go full blown dress up, I'm ok with him being casual on the first day. But I might wear maybe a cute dress and some heels or ballet flats and have my hair and makeup all together.

When it comes to sex I prefer the gentleness of a man. I would prefer he would be gentle and loving. The next time I have sex will be on my wedding night and I would love for the love making to be gentle and sweet. Some women do like it rough, but I prefer it to be gentle, slow, sweet, and romantic.

When it comes to physical, to be honest I don't want someone overly fit. I'm ok with him having a "dad bod" to be honest I prefer that. His teeth don't have to be perfect. But he has to have a beard (I love a man with a beard or goatee). Height I would prefer him to be taller than cause I am short in stature. Doesn't need to have muscles either but if he can open pickle jar and give me a piggy back ride on the occasion then I'll be a happy like chipmunk.

I am naturally like this and it was hard sustaining it in a cruel world. Most women dont think like you though. You have the integrity to sustain your own mind and not to be ruled by what tv shows.

i want a man who is intelligent, driven and ambitious. he also has to have a good sense of humor, be attractive and he should have a level of education that at least resembles mine. also ideally he has some hobbies in common with me, so we can do stuff together that we both actually enjoy.
i have already found a man who fits all these requirements and if everything goes right, i will most likely spend the rest of my life with him.

Does it match the shoes I picked out? by the way, I saw the cutest guy shopping for my shoes. He was a hunk. Tall, dark, handsome, charming, and he had nice shoes. His fingernails were nice too.

What does it mean when my boyfriend touches my butt? Does he just want sex? Does he think I'm just a piece of meat? What about other girls? Other girls have butts too! Is he comparing me to them? What if he touches my butt and imagines other girls' butts? I caught him closing his eyes sometimes for 16.7 milliseconds. He does that like 12-15 times per minute he closes his eyes and then opens them again.

Is my butt not good enough? What about my boobs? I don't have the best boobs and I have a friend and her boobs are better than me. Does he want to have sex with my friend? What a bitch! I hate her!

As a girl, I just want to be treated nicely by a good man who values me for who I am. Ohmagad girl, did you hear about that shoe sale? They got all these shoes. And the man who works there is such a hunk you know -- wink-wink. He's got a lot going on in the groin area if you know what I mean [girl humor has to explain the joke]. Like in the male area (that is the crotch) there's a lot going there if you know what I mean. If you don't know what I mean I mean that he's got some very large assets that might be appreciated if we talk to him right if you know what I mean. Appreciated like they grow. You know, like he can put it into our vagina. My vagina has a big hungry hole and the guy -- well, you know what I mean! What I mean is that -- well, you know. Well, we all have vaginas, don't we? Huhuhuuahehee!

Have you tried Tampax? I just tried Tampax and I was using pads the whole time and it works wonders for me. Have you tried it? Well, what you do is you just read the instructions. It's on the box and what you do is you just sit down and you read the instructions. I was doing the pads and sometimes it was spreading all throughout my bottom I tried the Tampax it made the problem smaller. You know, isolatered it.

But what I want in a man... hmm? What do I want in a man? Well, I want him to be a lawyer [applause]. A surfer [applause]. A great father [applause]. A great husband [applause -- very original idea]. I want him to do everything for me and tell me I'm beautiful even if I get fat.

Bruh, women are largely incapable of giving a straight answer on this topic. You will get all the same BS answers but the dating site research reveals that Looks (incl height) are #1, social status (including wealth) are #2. Personality, empathy, kindness, et Al are far down the list.

Yes, I've seen that too. A LOT, really. But I've giving women a fair chance to be direct here. So I will ignore all of that data for now and genuinely want to know what women have to say here.

I genuinely just want a man who is kind and empathetic to others as well as to me, and wants at least 2 children. I would love a man who is funny and can make me laugh, but to me, as long as we are happy together that's all that matters in my opinion

My standards are pretty specific especially if I'm looking for a long term partner. I know what I want and know what things I'm willing to tolerate in a guy. My standards are a lot lower if I'm interested in a fling or just a casual thing.
