Are guys considered as gentlemen just doormats for girls nowadays?

I sincerely think being a gentleman is a must with a woman, she should always be treated well (examples, by holding the door, offering dinner, emptying her glass first etc etc), but never having to be excessive. The distance between gentleman and doormat is brief and they easily treat you like one.

As a woman who has put a lot of work into myself to be the best person for myself and someone to love, no. I genuinely love men who take care of their women without them having to ask. That is what I want to give as well. Good men are so special and anyone who thinks of them as doormats need to look at themselves in the mirror.

To me a gentleman is someone truly precious and one I have so much respect for. Yes a lot of women nowadays expect men to be a gentleman towards them because they're entitled but there are still some women who treat good men with respect like any other person.
