So I recently met this really great guy. I’m really starting to like him and can even see myself getting married to this person. We vibe together so well, make each other laugh all the time, and he just makes me feel accepted and special. The first thing he did tell me is that he has high functioning autism. At first I was sort of hesitant about that, but now that I’m starting to get to know him better, I don’t notice our neurological differences to get in the way of what we already have together. Any wise advise would be appreciated.
I don't know from direct experience, but I DO have a few friends with Asperger's, and I'd guess it's a lot like dating anyone else: we all have our little quirks and foibles. As you go and do things with them, notice what the enjoy and dislike, and what they have trouble with. With any neurological disorder, it's tricky to make universal pronouncements ("they're like THIS"), and doubly with one as complex and varied as autism.

Hmm well I guess it would be like dating anyone else. You will get to know them and see for yourself if they are compatible for you, which is pretty much how you approach any dating situation.
