Initiates but still holding herself back?

Me and my ex girlfriend have been talking a lot past 5 days... she's been initiating most of the conversations. Started sending smily faces and even a selfie (first selfie she sent me in like almost 2 months) we were talking about the dinner she was eating the other night and I said, well maybe we should eat that together sometime... said maybe I'll think about it... lol but I can't tell if she's starting to miss me or anything. She's the one who ended the relationship

She just wants the attention you’re offering. If she wanted you back then that would definitely be something she would initiate, but chatting to you how she is without wanted more is likely her feeling lonely. She could not want any romance from you but miss having someone to talk to, and you are giving her that. If I were you, and I still had feelings for her or hopes of reconciliation then I would take a big step back because it’s only giving you false hope.
