From my observations this is more possible for women but for men I dunno.

I am really struggling right now because I could date a woman I really love (as a person) and deeply respect. She’s honest, smart and hard working. She definitely likes me. She’s also a in her late 20s which is an ideal dating range for me

But I just feel little physical attraction towards her and it’s for reasons that are out of her control (facial features). Makes me feel like crap with self-frustration.

I hate judging people on things they have zero control over. Different story if it was a solvable problem i. e. she was obese.

I have not because looks are an expectation to me when dating. I am not saying you have to be the Channing Tatum kind of guy, but the lifestyle I up hold requires you to care about your looks and health and it’s hard to look into a guy that doesn’t enjoy the lifestyle I live. I wish people would come to realization that looks so matter, that doesn’t mean every girl would be attracted to one kind of look, but we go for things that appeal to the eye before we invest our time into it. Not initially but yes in a fellowship way... and it developed into an eventual kiss 7 years later... and this girl was actually self-described lesbian. We are still friends...
