My new boyfriend insists on always paying everytime we go out — is this a guy a thing? What does he expect?

First, he is pretty traditional type of a guy which I adore and prefer, I am quite traditional as well but in this case I feel kind of left out. I'm not dating him for his money and for dates...

Everytime we go out, to restaurants, pubs, movies or anything really he insists on paying for both of us. I believe in spliting or at least switching who pays now and then.

It made me wonder, what does he expect from this?

We've been together for almost half a year now.

He wants to treat you

He believes he should always pay as a tradition

He thinks it is insulting for you to interfere and pay for him

He does it because most other women expect it while in a relationship

traditional is always good. it is 2022 now but there are still some traditional ways, traditional/conservative people til this day. why? because it works. just treat him sometimes, tell him how you appreciate his ways and care for him. that's the type of boyfriend that is very intouch with his masculine side. :)

And that is what he wants.
