Is being a non drinker a good trait?

I used to dabble a bit in drinking when I'd first moved from Connecticut to Texas although I did sip some alcohol back in Connecticut when my parents weren't home, and it was absolutely disgusting and my curiosity on it died right there.

My parents haven't had a good relationship, they're never really happy together and their arguments escalate into fights when, surprise surprise, they get drunk!

They keep vodka and gold tequila around but they drink Miller lite the most by a very wide margin. No exaggeration when I say that the night after they drink, there are cans everywhere and the garbage can is full of beer cans.

I got my toes wet a little more after I got my second job after leaving my first due to not enough hours and me wanting to deliver food instead of just making it. Don't worry, I never and I mean NEVER went near a wheel after having even the tiniest drop of alcohol but after work, I did drink sometimes.

In the past two years, I've stayed away completely from alcohol as the taste is abhorrent in all alcohols, it's just different levels of disgusting for each of them. It's extremely hard for me to get drunk and even then, any feeling of excitement wears off after 5 minutes.

After researching as well the impact that alcohol has on relationships, marriage and work, I've concluded that it's best to stay away from alcohol. Although I could've guess that impaired judgement leads to bad decisions.

I've seen the decay of a marriage that came from two narcissistic children trapped in the bodies of adults and that's certainly not what I want for me and my girlfriend who i hope to marry once me and her begin our careers and become financially stable. But thanks to healthcare costs for me due to a condition I have being at an average of $2,000 per month, I'll need to start my career before I can afford to live on my own.

Is that an attractive trait for a love partner to you?🤔
