Spending is often a big topic of discussion and disagreement in a relationship, married or not. I'd like to see y'all's preferences on it.
So, would you rather date/marry:
Someone who is stingy/frugal, who bugets and and tries to save money, but is very reluctant to have fun with their money. They rarely spend money on outings and vacations, and their spending tends toward minimalist clothes, devices, and cars. Their life is pretty simple/boring as a result.
OR
someone who spends a lot, but is financially unstable. They are happy to buy nice things, go out, travel, and live life to the fullest, but these ventures are limited because they don't save up for them. They live paycheck to paycheck, are frequently behind on paying bills, and have a terrible credit score.
Both people have the same income.
There is no in-between option in this poll.

since you're speaking of relationships and preferences I would say none of the EXTREMES... when in a relationship I prefer someone that is more balanced
but, maybe you don't want that answer and you rather see people pick either extreme so in that case I would very much reluctantly rather be with someone that's frugal because at the end of the day it will be a lot less of problematic... and also because someone that is not financially stable will also run into new sets of problems and it will become a never ending nightmare... so, no thanks that any of that stuff, lol
Yeah I'm asking people to pick between extremes. It's the nature of a negative would you rather to have two undesirable options.
100% of people want balanced, but why make a poll to figure that out?
Thanks for sharing. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on Dave Ramsay's financial advise, if you happen to be familiar with him. He gives one road to balance, though being more frugal than 90ish percent of people.
Financial problems due to overspending is a tremendous source of conflict in marital relationships, so I'd much rather have a frugal girlfriend or wife since I am like that too.
I know you say there is no in between option, but neither of these choices is good. Someone who is a spendthrift vs. someone who is a tightwad?
What is the tightwad saving for? Death? And is the spendthrift hoping to give himself or herself a heart attack from the stress of never being able to pay bills on time or get a decent credit score?
What kind of way is this to live? It isn't. Moderation. Saving for big ticket items. Spending a little for celebrations and other important events. There's no other choice than for BALANCE.
Everyone WANTS fun!!! Come on! But you have to wake up the next day to live, too!!! I have to say NEITHER!!! Any rational person would choose neither. No good either way. Kisses, though.
I’ll date the frugal person because you will get absolutely no where with someone that can’t find financial stability when it comes to a relationship. At one point or another, you will essentially be enabling a bad spending habit that can even drain your own wallet
I've always been really good with money. If you were to set a budget for me of lets says $10 I wouldn't spend it all even if you wanted me to like I would try my level best to save some and I end up doing just that. I spend my money wisely. I ask myself 'is this really worth it?' and I compare diff options then I finally come to the conclusion of whether I want to buy something or not lol I don't spend lavishly
Gimme the frugal person.. I'm a bit frugal myself... I don't like to spend over $30 or $40 most times.. Anything over that always seem to hurt my soul a tiny bit.. I'm not super frugal though..
Obviously u haven't lived much to be able to fill in them big boy words u so desperately composed. Oh be wiry grasshopper, for their is much to be learned.
