Oh thanks! I’m already a girlfriend so if him and I make it there then I hope I’d make a good wife☺️ but yes that was definitely my perspective when I was dating, I didn’t want to waste any time because I knew what I wanted, and I was very intentional about making sure the guy knew I wanted a relationship, no games or nothing. As for the other girls opinion, everyone has their own views but I would not be “talking” to a guy for 6 months and not be in a relationship. Maybe when I was younger, but now I know that men can tell if there potential with a girl no longer than 2 months in. Once that passes and they’re not even dating, let alone in a relationship then I don’t think he has the intention to be with her. Also, I know dating is super complicated! But honestly I had the most luck once I started to date with intention. I would ask the guy what he wanted as soon as I could, because I wouldn’t invest time in someone who “isn’t looking for anything serious” “just got out of a relationship so wants to be single” etc etc. Those are dead end situations for sure.

Thanks, I had very good role models growing up and women in my life now who have similar mentalities, so all the wisdom is always helpful☺️ I think it’s great that you’re working to be a good partner one day, I think that when you know yourself then you know what you’re looking for within someone else. As for how I feel about opposite sex friendships, I think it depends. When you think about it, platonic relationships only work when the one person is not attracted to the other (or the feeling is mutual), they’ve tried dating in the past and it didn’t work out, or if one of them is in a relationship. I rarely genuine friend dynamics that can still work once one of them get into a relationship. Mostly because they have to stop doing whatever gave the friendship real substance, like chatting often through the day, maybe sort of flirty with each other, hanging out a lot, supporting each other emotionally, etc. Like having a boyfriend/girlfriend takes care of all those things, and you no longer seek that in a male or female friend.
