I'm extremely ugly have always been told so and have been treated poorly in most of my relationships because of it. I don't know what to do anymore I can't stand the meaningless platitudes about loving yourself and having confidence especially when it comes from people who won the genetic lottery and don't have to struggle the same way. I'm at the point where I'm considering chemical castration as I don't see myself ever being able to find someone to be attracted to me. And as the world moves foward more research is coming up that yes being ugly makes it harder to find romance, a job, or get a raise etc. I just don't understand the mental gymnastics people do to convince themselves that there appearance has no bearing on their reality

There will definitely be someone out there who will think you are absolutely gorgeous too. It sounds like you’ve just gone out with crappy people as anyone telling you you’re ugly is not ok. Don’t give up.

I’m sorry that she lied, that’s not okay. I honestly do, if it wasn’t weird, I’d stare at him all day. And I wish I could let him see how I see him. Which probably doesn’t make you feel any better but I’m trying to show you it’s possible. Just because you don’t find yourself attractive doesn’t mean there isn’t someone out there who does think you are.

Also, you might look like Zac Efron and be an absolute prick, no straight thinking woman would stay with a stereotypically gorgeous man who was actually not a nice person or they didn’t treat her very well. Eventually they’ll get sick of being treated like crap. Although I do think my boyfriend is gorgeous he’s also a lovely kind caring person and so what I’m also trying to say is that looks are also not the most important thing so try not to get hung up on that being the only thing women look for. Eventually you’ll meet somebody nice who thinks you’re good looking and won’t lie to you. I know it’s hard but don’t give up.

I think 1 time I did actually when I was a teenager, but the guy also lived in another country, so I forget what the real reason was. He wasn't ugly. He was just really overweight. I regret it though. I was young and stupid.
