If you are interested in a girl why won't you text her?

So if a guy has showed some interest in a girl and its been sort of obvious he likes her, why would he continue to not say hi or text the girl whats up or something?

Well he could only text her if he had her number, which might be something that he doesn't have. And he might be unwilling to push the boundary and initiate contact if he fears rejection. A lot of guys don't initiate because they are afraid of being rejected, and if they initiate and they are rejected it changes the balance between the two people. They might ruin their friendship by coming out and telling the girl that they are interested in them, or they might be afraid of making the other person uncomfortable and making the situation awkward

Because I don't initiate. Not in my comfort. And in fact I do get success by waiting for a girl to do so to me. Since we often like each other.

To be honest same reason girls don’t want to text first because say the other person didn’t like them back they have to face the embarrassment if it’s something out of their comfort zone.
